4. Setup & Connection

4.1. Charging the Headset

Before first use, fully charge the headset. Connect the USB Type-C charging cable to the headset's charging port and the other end to a USB power source. A full charge takes approximately 2-3 hours.

4.2. Connecting to PC (2.4GHz Wireless Mode)

  1. Turn on the headset.
  2. Set the headset to "2.4G" mode using the mode switch. The indicator light will flash white when not connected.
  3. Plug the 2.4GHz USB transmitter into an available USB port on your PC.
  4. Once connected successfully, the transmitter light will stay solid blue, and the headset light will stay solid white.

4.3. Connecting to PC (Bluetooth Mode)

  1. Turn on the headset.
  2. Set the headset to "BT" (Bluetooth) mode using the mode switch. The indicator light will flash blue when not connected.
  3. On your PC, open "Settings" and navigate to "Bluetooth & devices".
  4. Click "Add device" and select "Bluetooth".
  5. Select "Captain 780" from the list of available devices to connect. (If not found, switch to 2.4G mode then back to BT mode).

4.4. Connecting to PS5 (2.4GHz Wireless Mode)

4.5. Connecting to PS5 (Wired Mode)

  3. In wired mode, the headset lights will be off, and the headset mute button will not function. Mute via your device if needed.
  4. On your PS5, go to "Settings" > "Sound".
  5. Under "Microphone", ensure "Input Device" is set to "USB Headset (Captain 780)".
  6. Under "Audio Output", ensure "Output Device" is set to "USB Headset (Captain 780)".

4.6. Connecting to Nintendo Switch (2.4GHz Wireless Mode)

The Gvyugke Captain 780 headset is compatible with Nintendo Switch in 2.4GHz wireless mode. Note that the microphone functionality is limited on the Switch platform due to system limitations.

4.7. Connecting to Xbox (Wired Mode)
