Image 4.1: Visual guide for switching between Bluetooth and 2.4G Wireless modes using the physical switch on the scanner's underside.
4.1. Bluetooth Connection
- Slide the physical switch on the bottom of the scanner to the left position (Bluetooth mode).
- On your host device (smartphone, tablet, PC), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "CPRO barcode scanner" from the list to pair.
- Ensure your device's keyboard layout is set to US. If using a different layout, configure the correct keyboard language settings on your device before use.
4.2. 2.4G Wireless Connection (USB Dongle)
- Slide the physical switch on the bottom of the scanner to the right position (2.4G Wireless mode).
- Plug the 2.4G USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer or POS system.
- For U.S. keyboard layouts, the scanner should be plug-and-play.
- If using a different keyboard layout, refer to your device's settings to configure the correct keyboard language before use.
4.3. Wired USB Connection
- Connect the scanner to your computer using the provided USB-C cable.
- The scanner will function as a wired device, transmitting data directly. This mode also charges the scanner.
Important Note: Scanning a setting barcode to switch connection modes is not supported. Always use the physical switch on the bottom of the scanner to change between Bluetooth and 2.4G wireless modes.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Scanning Barcodes
- Ensure the scanner is powered on and connected to your host device via your chosen method (Bluetooth, 2.4G Wireless, or Wired USB).
- Point the scanner's window at the barcode or QR code you wish to scan.
- Press and hold the trigger button. A red laser aimer will appear, followed by a white LED illumination.
- Once the code is successfully read, the scanner will emit an audible beep and/or a visual indicator (e.g., green light) to confirm the scan. The data will be transmitted to your connected device.
- Release the trigger button.
The CS9000 is equipped with Honeywell's HS7 Area-imaging Scan Engine, providing high-resolution scanning (1280 x 800 pixel array) and motion tolerance up to 400 cm/s for 13 mil UPC at optimal focus. It supports OCR text recognition for passport IDs and postal codes.
