Setup
Assembly
Assembly of the Lifetime 52-Inch Portable Basketball Hoop is required. Refer to the detailed assembly instructions provided in the separate assembly guide included with your product. Ensure all bolts are tightened securely and all components are correctly aligned before proceeding.
Base Filling
The portable base must be filled for stability. It has a 35-gallon capacity and can be filled with either water or sand. Sand provides greater stability and is recommended for permanent outdoor placement. Water is suitable for easier seasonal drainage and movement.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your basketball hoop.
- Base: Periodically check the base for leaks and ensure it remains filled to the appropriate level. Refill as needed.
- Hardware: Annually inspect all nuts, bolts, and fasteners for tightness. Tighten any loose hardware.
- Backboard: Clean the backboard with a mild soap and water solution and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface. The Clearview backboard is shatterproof and UV-protected.
- Rim and Net: Inspect the Slam-It rim for any signs of damage or rust. Replace the all-weather nylon net if it becomes frayed or torn.
- Pole: The 3.5-inch round steel pole is powder-coated for rust resistance. Clean with mild soap and water. Ensure the pole pad is securely attached.
- Storage: For prolonged periods of non-use, especially during harsh weather, consider lowering the hoop to its minimum height or storing it in a sheltered area if possible.
