Setup Instructions

1. Install Battery

The wegear MW16-MS-BL mouse requires one AA battery (not included). To install:

  1. Gently open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the mouse.
  2. Insert one AA battery, ensuring the polarity (+/-) matches the diagram inside the compartment.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Connect USB Receiver

The USB receiver is stored conveniently inside the battery compartment of the mouse.

  1. Remove the USB receiver from its storage slot.
  2. Plug the USB receiver into an available USB-A port on your computer (laptop or desktop).
  3. The mouse is plug-and-play; no additional drivers are required. Your computer should automatically detect and install the device.

3. Compatibility Note

For Mac computers without a standard USB-A port, a USB-C to USB-A adapter (not included) may be required to connect the USB receiver.

  • Left Button: Standard click function.
  • Right Button: Context menu function.

DPI Adjustment

The mouse features 5 adjustable DPI levels to suit various tasks and preferences. Press the DPI button located below the scroll wheel to cycle through the settings:

  • 800 DPI
  • 1200 DPI
  • 1600 DPI
  • 2400 DPI
  • 4000 DPI

Each press of the DPI button will change the cursor speed. A red LED below the scroll wheel will flash once for level 1 (800 DPI), twice for level 2 (1200 DPI), and so on, to indicate the current DPI setting.

Power Saving Features

The mouse is designed for energy efficiency:

  • Auto-Sleep Mode: After 8 minutes of inactivity, the mouse will enter sleep mode to conserve battery power. To reactivate, simply click any button.
  • Low Battery Indicator: A red LED will alert you when the battery level is low, indicating it's time for replacement.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To maintain the performance and appearance of your mouse:
