Setup

1. Installing Batteries

The safe requires 4 AA batteries (not included) for the digital keypad to function. The battery compartment is located on the inside of the safe door.

  1. Open the safe using the master key (refer to 'Opening with Master Key' if needed).
  2. Locate the battery compartment cover on the inside of the door.
  3. Remove the cover and insert 4 new AA batteries, observing polarity.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover.

2. Setting Up Your Digital Code

Your safe comes with a default factory code. It is highly recommended to change this to a personal code immediately.

  1. With the safe door open, locate the red reset button on the inside of the door, near the battery compartment.
  2. Press the reset button. The keypad will illuminate, indicating it's ready for a new code.
  3. Enter your desired 3-8 digit code on the keypad.
  4. Press the '#' button to confirm your new code.
  5. Test your new code with the door open before closing it.

3. Using the Master Key

The master key provides an additional layer of security and is used in conjunction with the digital code for maximum security mode, or as an override in case of forgotten codes or dead batteries.

  1. Insert the master key into the keyhole located on the digital keypad panel.
  2. Turn the key clockwise to the unlocked position.
  3. The safe can now be opened using the digital code or by turning the handle.

4. Mounting the Safe

For enhanced security, the safe can be mounted to a floor or wall. Mounting hardware is included.

  1. Choose a suitable location, ensuring it is a solid surface capable of supporting the safe's weight.
  2. Locate the pre-drilled holes on the back and/or bottom of the safe.
  3. Position the safe and mark the drilling points on the wall or floor.
  4. Drill pilot holes using an appropriate drill bit for your mounting surface.
  5. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided mounting bolts.

Operating Instructions

1. Opening with Digital Code (Standard Security Mode)

  1. Touch the keypad to activate it.
  2. Enter your personal 3-8 digit code.
  3. Press the '#' button. If the code is correct, the safe will unlock.
  4. Turn the handle clockwise to open the door.

2. Opening with Key and Code (Maximum Security Mode)

  1. Insert the master key into the keyhole on the keypad panel and turn it clockwise to the unlocked position.
  2. Touch the keypad to activate it.
  3. Enter your personal 3-8 digit code.
  4. Press the '#' button. If the code is correct, the safe will unlock.
  5. Turn the handle clockwise to open the door.

3. Using the Internal Lock Box

The safe features an internal lock box for additional privacy and security for smaller, highly valuable items.

  1. Open the main safe door.
  2. Locate the internal lock box at the top of the safe.
  3. Use the emergency key to unlock and open the internal lock box.
  4. To close, secure the internal lock box with its key.

4. Dual Alarm System

The safe is equipped with a dual alarm system for enhanced protection:

5. Low Battery Indicator

The digital keypad features a low battery indicator light. When this light illuminates, it is time to replace the internal batteries to ensure continuous operation.

Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement

When the low battery indicator appears, replace the 4 AA batteries in the internal battery compartment. Use only new, high-quality alkaline batteries.

2. Cleaning

Clean the safe's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.

Troubleshooting

Safe does not open with digital code.Ensure batteries are not low. Re-enter code carefully. If forgotten, use the master key.
Keypad is unresponsive.Check battery levels. If internal batteries are dead, use the external battery box for temporary power or the master key.
Alarm activates unexpectedly.The safe may have experienced vibration or received three incorrect code entries. Enter the correct code to deactivate.
Cannot set a new code.Ensure the safe door is open and the red reset button is pressed correctly before entering the new code.
