3. Setup

Your EMOJO Electric Trike comes fully assembled, significantly reducing setup time. Before your first ride, please perform the following checks:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the trike from its packaging. Retain packaging materials for future transport or storage if needed.
  2. Initial Inspection: Visually inspect the trike for any signs of shipping damage. Check all cables, connections, and components for proper seating and integrity.
  3. Battery Charge: Ensure the 48V 14Ah battery is fully charged before your first ride. Connect the charger to the trike's charging port and a standard power outlet. The charging indicator will show when charging is complete.

  4. Tire Pressure: Check the tire pressure using a pressure gauge. Inflate tires to the recommended PSI indicated on the tire sidewall.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on the trike, locate the power button on the battery or control panel and press it. The LCD display will illuminate.
  • To power off, press and hold the power button until the display turns off.

4.2 Riding Modes

Your EMOJO trike offers different riding modes:

  • Pedal Assist (PAS): This mode provides electric assistance as you pedal. The level of assistance can typically be adjusted via buttons on the handlebars (refer to LCD display section).
  • Throttle Only: Engage the throttle (usually a thumb or twist throttle) to propel the trike without pedaling.
  • Manual Pedaling: You can always ride the trike like a traditional bicycle without any electric assistance.

The 3.5 inch LCD display provides crucial information during your ride:

  • Battery Level: Indicates the remaining charge of your battery.
  • Speed: Displays your current riding speed.
  • PAS Level: Shows the current level of pedal assistance.
  • Mileage/Odometer: Tracks your total distance traveled.
  • Wattage: Displays the power output from the motor.

Use the control buttons near the display to cycle through information and adjust settings like PAS level.

4.4 Braking

Your trike is equipped with Dual Tektro Disc Brakes for reliable stopping power. Apply both brakes simultaneously for optimal and controlled stopping. Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially at high speeds.

5.1 Battery Care

  • Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health.

  • Fasteners: Periodically check all nuts, bolts, and quick-release levers to ensure they are tight and secure.
  • Cleaning: Clean the trike with a damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components.
