1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, use, and maintenance of your Vente-unique Gemini III Bunk Bed. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning assembly and retain this manual for future reference. This bunk bed is designed to maximize space with two double sleeping areas (140x190 cm).
2. Safety Information
- Important: The upper bunk is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
- Ensure all assembly hardware is securely tightened before use. Periodically check and re-tighten as necessary.
- Do not allow more than one person on the upper bunk at any time.
- Use only mattresses that comply with the recommended dimensions and maximum thickness for each bunk.
- Always use the ladder for accessing the upper bunk. Do not jump on or off the bunk bed.
- Keep children away from the assembly area during installation to prevent injury.
- Maximum weight capacity for the entire bunk bed structure is 240 kg.
3. Package Contents
Before assembly, verify that all components are present and undamaged. If any parts are missing or damaged, do not proceed with assembly and contact customer support.

4. Setup and Assembly
Assembly requires two adults. Please follow these steps carefully. Refer to the diagrams for visual guidance.
- Prepare the Area: Clear a spacious area for assembly. Lay out all components on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
- Assemble the Lower Bunk Frame: Connect the side rails and end frames for the lower bunk using the provided hardware. Do not fully tighten bolts until the entire frame is assembled.
- Install Lower Slatted Base: Place the rigid slatted base onto the lower bunk frame. Secure it according to the instructions, ensuring it is stable.
- Attach Vertical Support Posts: Connect the vertical support posts that will hold the upper bunk to the lower bunk frame.
- Assemble the Upper Bunk Frame: Carefully lift and attach the upper bunk side rails and end frames to the vertical support posts. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Install Upper Slatted Base: Place the rigid slatted base onto the upper bunk frame and secure it.
- Attach Ladder: Securely attach the ladder to the designated hooks or mounting points on the upper bunk. Ensure it is stable and does not wobble.
- Final Tightening: Once all components are in place and aligned, systematically tighten all bolts and screws using the provided tools. Do not overtighten.

5. Operating and Usage
- Mattress Requirements: The bunk bed is designed for 140 x 190 cm mattresses. The maximum recommended thickness for the upper bunk mattress is 16 cm to ensure the safety railing remains effective.
- Weight Distribution: Distribute weight evenly across both bunks. Adhere to the maximum weight capacity of 240 kg for the entire structure.
- Ladder Use: Always use the provided ladder to access the upper bunk. Ensure the ladder is properly secured before climbing.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate air circulation around mattresses to prevent moisture buildup.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the metal frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
- Hardware Check: Periodically (e.g., every 3 months) inspect all bolts, screws, and connections. Re-tighten any loose hardware to maintain structural integrity and safety.
- Slatted Bases: Ensure the slatted bases are free from damage or excessive wear. Replace if necessary.
- Moving the Bed: If relocating the bed, disassemble it partially or fully to prevent damage to the frame or connections. Do not drag the assembled bed.
7. Troubleshooting
- Bed Wobbles: Check all assembly hardware. Ensure every bolt and screw is securely tightened. Verify that the bed is on a level surface.
- Squeaking Noises: Loose connections are often the cause. Re-tighten all hardware. Applying a small amount of lubricant to metal-on-metal contact points (if applicable and safe for the material) might help.
- Difficulty Assembling: Review the assembly steps and diagrams carefully. Ensure you are using the correct hardware for each step. Do not force parts together.
- Missing Parts: If any parts are missing from the package, refer to the package contents list and contact Vente-unique customer support for assistance.
