1. Introduction

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Unpacking and Assembly

1. Remove all components from the packaging.
2. Place the main feeder unit on a stable, dry, and level surface.
3. Attach the two plastic bowls to the designated slots at the base of the feeder.

3.2 Power Connection

The feeder supports dual power supply: AC adapter and batteries (not included).

• AC Power: Connect the power adapter to the feeder's power port and plug it into a wall outlet.
• Battery Backup: For power outage protection, insert 3 AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment at the bottom of the unit. The feeder will automatically switch to battery power in case of an AC power interruption.

3.3 App Installation and WiFi Connection

1. Download the AONBOY app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
2. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account and add your device.
3. Ensure your feeder is powered on and your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. The feeder does not support 5GHz WiFi.
4. Follow the app's pairing process, which typically involves pressing a button on the feeder to enter pairing mode.

3.4 Loading Food

1. Open the twist-lock lid on top of the feeder.
2. Insert the desiccant bag into its designated slot in the lid to keep food fresh.
3. Pour dry pet food into the food reservoir. The feeder has a 5L capacity, holding approximately 2kg of dry food.
4. Securely close the twist-lock lid to prevent pets from accessing the food directly and to maintain freshness.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Scheduling Meals via App

Use the AONBOY app to create a customized feeding schedule:

• Open the app and navigate to the 'Feed Plan' section.
• You can schedule up to 10 meals per day.
• For each meal, select the desired time and the number of portions (1-12 portions per meal).
• Each portion dispenses approximately 5-7 grams of dry food.
• Save your schedule. The feeder will automatically dispense food at the programmed times.

4.2 Manual Feeding

To dispense food manually, use the 'Feed' button on the app interface or the manual feed button on the feeder itself. You can select the number of portions to dispense instantly.

4.3 Voice Recording

Record a personalized 10-second voice message to call your pets at meal times:

1. Locate the record button on the feeder.
2. Press and hold the record button, then speak your message.
3. Release the button to save the recording. This message will play before each scheduled meal.

4.4 Large Capacity and Dual Bowls

The 5L food reservoir can hold enough dry food for approximately 10 days for two cats, reducing the frequency of refills. The dual bowl design ensures that multiple pets can eat simultaneously without competition.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Feeder

Regular cleaning ensures hygiene and proper functioning of the feeder:

• Disconnect the power adapter and remove any batteries before cleaning.
• Remove the food container and bowls. These parts can be washed with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly.
• Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit or its electronic components in water.
• Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and refilling with food.
• Replace the desiccant bag periodically (e.g., every 1-2 months) to maintain food freshness.

5.2 Care Tips

• Store the feeder in a dry place.
• Use only dry pet food with the feeder. Wet food or treats may cause blockages.
• Regularly check the food level through the transparent window.

6. Troubleshooting

• Feeder not dispensing food:
  Check if the food reservoir is empty. Ensure there are no blockages in the dispensing mechanism. Verify that the power supply (AC or battery) is active.
• App connectivity issues:
  Ensure your feeder is powered on and your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. Restart the app and the feeder. If issues persist, try re-pairing the device through the app. Note that some older phone models or specific operating system versions might experience compatibility issues with the app.
• Inconsistent portion sizes:
  While the feeder aims for precise portions (5-7g), slight variations may occur due to kibble size and density. If significant inconsistencies are observed, ensure the food is not clumping and the dispensing mechanism is clear.
• Voice message not playing:
  Ensure the voice message was recorded correctly. Try re-recording the message.
• Pets accessing food directly:
  Ensure the twist-lock lid is securely closed. The feeder is designed to be pet-proof, but persistent pets may attempt to tamper with it.
