Important Safety Instructions

3. Setup

Initial Cleaning

1. Remove all packaging materials and labels from the coffee maker.
2. Wash the removable water tank, K-pod holder, ground coffee holder, and drip tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.

First Use / Priming the Machine

1. Place the coffee maker on a stable, flat surface.
2. Fill the removable water tank with fresh, cold water up to the MAX line.

4. Place a large mug (at least 14 oz) on the drip tray.
5. Plug the coffee maker into a grounded electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

Brewing Hot Coffee (K-Cup)

1. Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh, cold water.
2. Lift the handle to open the brewing chamber.
3. Insert a K-cup pod into the K-pod holder. Close the handle firmly.
4. Place your mug on the drip tray.
5. Select your desired brew size (6, 8, 10, 12, or 14 oz) using the 'SIZE' button.
6. To adjust strength, press the 'BOLD' button to toggle between 'STANDARD' and 'STRONGER'.
7. Press the 'CAPSULE' button to start brewing. The machine will automatically stop when brewing is complete.

Brewing Hot Coffee (Ground Coffee)

1. Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh, cold water.
2. Lift the handle to open the brewing chamber.
3. Fill the reusable ground coffee holder with your preferred ground coffee. Do not overfill.
4. Insert the filled ground coffee holder into the brewing chamber. Close the handle firmly.
5. Place your mug on the drip tray.
6. Select your desired brew size (6, 8, 10, 12, or 14 oz) using the 'SIZE' button.
7. To adjust strength, press the 'BOLD' button to toggle between 'STANDARD' and 'STRONGER'.
8. Press the 'GROUND' button to start brewing. The machine will automatically stop when brewing is complete.

Bold Setting

The 'BOLD' setting allows you to customize the strength of your coffee. Select 'STRONGER' for a more intense flavor, suitable for both hot and iced coffee. Selecting a smaller brew size, such as 6 oz, can also contribute to a stronger taste.

Brewing Capacities

The coffee maker offers five distinct brewing capacities: 6 oz, 8 oz, 10 oz, 12 oz, and 14 oz. Use the 'SIZE' button to cycle through these options and select the volume appropriate for your cup or preference.

Brewing Iced Coffee

1. Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water.
2. Fill your serving cup with ice cubes.
3. Insert a K-cup pod or ground coffee into the brewing chamber.
4. Place the ice-filled cup on the drip tray.
5. Select a brew size between 6-8 oz for optimal iced coffee concentration.
6. Press the 'OVER ICE' button to start brewing. The hot coffee will brew directly over the ice, chilling it rapidly.

Removable Drip Tray

5. Maintenance

Cleaning

• Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning.
• The water tank, K-pod holder, ground coffee holder, and drip tray are dishwasher safe (top rack only) or can be hand-washed with warm, soapy water.
• Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• Clean the exit needle (where coffee dispenses) and the K-cup piercing needle regularly using a straightened paper clip to dislodge any clogs.

Descaling

Mineral deposits (scale) can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting performance and coffee taste. The 'DESCALE' indicator light will flash when descaling is required. It is recommended to descale every 3-6 months, depending on water hardness.

Descaling Procedure:

1. Empty the water tank.
2. Pour 10 oz of white vinegar into the water tank.
3. Place a large mug on the drip tray.
4. Press the 'DESCALE' button (if available, or follow manual's specific descaling mode instructions). If no dedicated button, run a 14 oz brew cycle with the vinegar solution.
5. Repeat the process with fresh water to rinse the machine thoroughly. Run at least two full cycles with fresh water.
