4. Setup

1. Connect the Keyboard: Use the provided Type-C cable to connect the HE33 keyboard to an available USB port on your computer (PC or Mac).
2. System Recognition: Your operating system should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. This may take a few moments.
3. Initial Test: Open a text editor or any application and test the keys to ensure proper functionality.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Key Functions

The HE33 features a standard QWERTY layout for its primary keys. The 'Fn' key can be used in combination with other keys for secondary functions, if programmed.

5.2 Multi-function Knob

The knob located on the top left of the keyboard typically controls volume by default. Rotate clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease. Pressing the knob usually mutes/unmutes audio. Its function can be customized via the online driver.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

• Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the surface.
• For dust and debris between keycaps, use compressed air.
• The included keycap puller can be used to carefully remove keycaps for deeper cleaning or switch replacement.

7.2 Switch Replacement (Hot-Swappable)

The HE33 features hot-swappable magnetic switches. To replace a switch:

1. Carefully remove the keycap using the keycap puller.
2. Gently pull the switch straight up from the PCB using a switch puller (not included, but compatible with standard mechanical switch pullers).
3. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press it firmly until it clicks into place.
4. Reattach the keycap.

8. Troubleshooting

• Keyboard Not Responding:
  • Ensure the Type-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
  • Try connecting to a different USB port.
  • Test the keyboard on another computer to rule out system-specific issues.
• Keys Not Registering Correctly:
  • Check for debris under the keycap.
