4. Setup Guide

4.1 Physical Installation

  1. Choose a Location: Place the camera on a flat surface, such as a table or shelf, or mount it on a wall. Ensure it has a clear view of the monitoring area and is within range of your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Keep it out of reach of children.
  2. Power On: Connect the power cable to the camera's power port and plug the adapter into a power outlet. The camera will power on, and an indicator light will illuminate.
  3. (Optional) TF Card Installation: If using local storage, gently insert a TF (microSD) card (up to 128GB, Class 10 recommended) into the designated slot on the camera. Ensure the camera is powered off before inserting or removing the card.

4.2 App Download and Account Creation

  1. Download the App: Search for "YESIMOM" (or the specified app name in the video guide card) in the Apple App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android). Download and install the app.
  2. Register/Log In: Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to register a new account or log in if you already have one.

4.3 Pairing the Camera with the App

  1. Reset the Camera: If this is the first time setting up or if you are re-pairing, use the provided reset pin to press and hold the reset button on the camera for approximately 5 seconds until you hear a prompt or see the indicator light flash rapidly.
  2. Add Device: In the app, tap the "+" icon (or "Add Device") to begin the pairing process.
  3. Select Device Type: Choose "Baby Monitor" or "Smart Camera" from the list of device types.
  4. Connect to Wi-Fi: Enter your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network name and password. Ensure your mobile device is also connected to the same 2.4 GHz network. (Note: The camera does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks.)
  5. Scan QR Code: The app will generate a QR code. Hold your mobile device approximately 15-20 cm (6-8 inches) in front of the camera lens until the camera scans the code. You should hear a confirmation sound from the camera.
  6. Completion: Once the camera connects, it will appear in your app's device list. You can then rename the camera and begin monitoring.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Live View and Basic Controls

  • Access Live Feed: Open the app and tap on your camera's name to view the live video stream.
  • PTZ Control: Use the directional controls (Pan/Tilt) within the app to adjust the camera's viewing angle.
  • Digital Zoom: Pinch to zoom in or out on the live video feed.
  • Snapshot/Record: Tap the camera icon to take a snapshot or the video icon to manually record video.

5.2 Two-Way Audio

  • Speak to Baby: Tap the microphone icon in the app, then speak into your phone. Your voice will be transmitted through the camera's speaker. Release the icon to stop speaking.
  • Listen: The camera's microphone is always active during live view, allowing you to hear sounds from the monitored area.

5.3 Night Vision

The camera automatically switches to infrared night vision mode in low-light conditions, providing a clear black-and-white video feed.

5.4 Motion and Sound Detection

  • Enable Alerts: Go to the camera settings in the app to enable motion and sound detection alerts.
  • Adjust Sensitivity: Customize the sensitivity levels for both motion and sound detection to minimize false alarms.
  • Define Detection Zones: For motion detection, you can define specific areas within the camera's view where detection should be active.
  • Receive Notifications: When an event is detected, you will receive a push notification on your mobile device.

5.5 Video Recording and Playback

  • Local Storage (TF Card): If a TF card is installed, the camera will automatically record video based on your settings (e.g., continuous recording, event-triggered recording). Access playback through the app's "History" or "Playback" section.
  • Cloud Storage: If you have subscribed to a cloud storage plan, recorded videos will be uploaded to the cloud. Access these recordings via the "Cloud" section in the app.

5.6 One-Click Call

Press the call button on the camera unit to initiate a call to the paired mobile device. The app will receive a notification or ring, allowing you to answer and communicate.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and body. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
