1. Introduction

The MIATONE MagBoom mini is a compact and portable magnetic Bluetooth speaker designed for versatile use. It features advanced Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, IPX6 water resistance, True Wireless Stereo (TWS) functionality, and a built-in microphone for hands-free calls. Its unique magnetic design allows for easy attachment to compatible surfaces, enhancing your audio experience in various environments.

This speaker incorporates a 40mm dynamic driver, faithfully reproducing a full sound range from low to high frequencies. With a built-in large-capacity battery, it offers up to 12 hours of continuous playback, ensuring extended enjoyment of music and calls.

3. Product Overview

Familiarize yourself with the components of your MagBoom mini speaker:

  • Power Button: Used for turning the speaker on/off and initiating pairing.
  • USB-C Charging Port: For connecting the charging cable.
  • LED Indicator: Displays power status, charging status, and Bluetooth connection status.
  • Speaker Grille: Audio output area.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the speaker's USB-C port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The LED indicator will show charging status and turn off or change color when fully charged.

4.2 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until the LED indicator lights up and you hear an audible prompt.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until the LED indicator turns off and you hear an audible prompt.

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

The MagBoom mini utilizes Bluetooth 5.3 for stable and efficient wireless connection.

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Power button for about 3-5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes rapidly, indicating it is in pairing mode.
  3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select "MIATONE MagBoom mini" from the list of devices.
  5. Once connected, the LED indicator will stop flashing and remain solid, and you will hear a confirmation sound.

Note: The speaker will automatically attempt to reconnect to the last paired device when powered on.

4.4 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing

To achieve an immersive stereo sound experience, you can pair two MagBoom mini speakers together:

  1. Ensure both MagBoom mini speakers are powered off and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
  2. Power on both speakers. They will automatically enter pairing mode.
  3. Double-press the Power button on one of the speakers (this will be the primary speaker). It will search for the other speaker.
  4. Once successfully paired, you will hear a confirmation sound, and the LED indicators on both speakers will synchronize.
  5. Now, connect your device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in section 4.3. The two speakers will function as a stereo pair.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Playing Music

After successful Bluetooth pairing, you can play music from your connected device. Use your device's media controls (play, pause, skip tracks) to manage playback.

Note: Volume control is managed directly from your connected device, as the speaker unit does not feature dedicated volume buttons.

5.2 Hands-Free Calling

The MagBoom mini has a built-in microphone for hands-free calling when connected to a smartphone.

  • Answer Call: Press the Power button once to answer an incoming call.
  • End Call: Press the Power button once during a call to end it.
  • Reject Call: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 2 seconds to reject an incoming call.

5.3 Magnetic Attachment

The speaker features a magnetic base for convenient attachment to compatible surfaces, such as MagSafe-enabled devices, refrigerators, or metal kitchen surfaces. Ensure the surface is clean and flat for optimal magnetic adhesion.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the speaker with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Water Resistance: The speaker is IPX6 water-resistant, meaning it can withstand strong jets of water. However, it is not fully waterproof and should not be submerged in water or exposed to prolonged water immersion. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed when exposed to water.
  • Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
