4. Setup
4.1 Pre-Assembly
Your FREEDARE Eden Electric Bike arrives 85% pre-assembled. This significantly simplifies the setup process. A detailed assembly video and guide are included to assist you with the final steps.
4.2 Initial Battery Charging
Before your first ride, fully charge the battery. Connect the charger to the battery port and then to a power outlet. The indicator light on the charger will change to signal a full charge. Refer to the battery section for more details on charging times.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the display. To power off, press and hold the same button until the display turns off.
5.2 Using the Display
The TFT color display provides real-time data. Use the buttons near the display to cycle through information such as current speed, average speed, max speed, trip distance, total odometer, and battery level. Adjust assistance levels as needed.
5.3 Gear Shifting
Utilize the SHIMANO 7-speed shifter on the handlebar to change gears. Shift to a lower gear for climbing hills and a higher gear for flat terrain or downhill riding. Always shift gears while pedaling lightly to ensure smooth transitions and prevent damage to the drivetrain.
5.4 Smart App Control
The FREEDARE App enhances your riding experience with integrated Bluetooth, 4G, and GPS functionalities. It offers advanced features for smart and protected riding.
- Self-Diagnosis: The app integrates an intelligent e-bike inspection system, allowing you to verify every electrical component and detect anomalies or malfunctions in real-time.
- Anti-Theft with GPS Tracking: The system includes an anti-theft feature with real-time location tracking and movement alarms. Once the bike is locked, the alarm monitors movements and notifies you of unauthorized activity, making it easy to locate your e-bike.
- Personal Route Planning: Plan unique routes in advance. The app will notify you upon reaching your destination and suggest recommended itineraries. You can also share these routes with friends.
- Theft and Fall Alerts: Receive real-time notifications for potential theft or if the bike falls over.
