5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the walkie talkie.
- Slide the cover downwards following the arrow indicator to open.
- Align the 1200mAh lithium-ion battery with the contacts inside the compartment.
- Gently press the battery into place until it clicks securely.
- Slide the battery compartment cover back upwards until it locks.
5.2 Charging the Battery
The MateTalk B4 walkie talkies can be charged using the included Type-C charging cable directly or via the charging base.
- Using Type-C Cable: Open the rubber cover on the side of the walkie talkie to reveal the Type-C port. Insert the Type-C cable into the port and connect the other end to a charger adapter or a compatible USB power source.
- Using Charging Base: Place the walkie talkie into the charging base, ensuring the contacts align. Connect the charging base to a power source using the provided Type-C cable and charger adapter. The indicator light on the radio will turn red while charging and green when fully charged.

5.3 Belt Clip Attachment
The belt clip can be easily attached to the back of the walkie talkie by sliding it into the designated slot until it clicks into place. This allows for convenient carrying on a belt or pocket.
5.4 Shoulder Mic Connection
To connect the waterproof shoulder mic, open the rubber cover on the side of the walkie talkie that protects the accessory port. Insert the 2-pin connector of the shoulder mic firmly into the port until it is secure.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off and Volume Control
Rotate the top-most knob clockwise to power on the walkie talkie. A voice prompt will announce
