Tools Required (Not Included):

  • Phillips Head Screwdriver
  • Wire Strippers
  • Pliers
  • Ladder
  • Electrical Tape

Installation Steps:

  1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the light fixture's power supply and turn it off. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
  2. Prepare Mounting Plate: Attach the mounting plate to the junction box in the ceiling using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  3. Adjust Chain Length: Determine the desired hanging height for your chandelier. Use pliers to open and remove excess chain links from the adjustable chain. Ensure the electrical wire is threaded through the chain and canopy.
  4. Wire Connections:
    • Connect the fixture's ground wire (usually bare copper or green) to the house's ground wire and the mounting plate's ground screw.
    • Connect the fixture's hot wire (usually black) to the house's hot wire (black) using a wire nut.
    • Connect the fixture's neutral wire (usually white) to the house's neutral wire (white) using a wire nut.
    • Secure all wire connections with electrical tape.
  5. Secure Canopy: Carefully push the wires into the junction box. Raise the canopy to the ceiling, aligning the screws on the mounting plate with the holes in the canopy. Secure the canopy with the decorative nuts or screws.

  • Dimming (Optional): If dimmable bulbs and a dimmer switch are installed, adjust the dimmer switch to control brightness.

7. Care and Maintenance

Regular care will help maintain the appearance and functionality of your chandelier.

  • Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or rattan.
  • Bulb Replacement: Ensure power is off and bulbs have cooled before replacing. Unscrew old bulbs and screw in new E26 base bulbs (max 40W).
  • Rattan Care: The rattan lampshade is hand-woven. Minor imperfections are normal. Avoid excessive moisture or direct sunlight to preserve the rattan's integrity.
