3. App Download & Connection
Download and install the "AMETA Drone" app from your device's app store. Once installed, launch the app.
4. Pairing and Calibration
Before flying, the drone and remote control must be paired and calibrated. This process ensures stable and accurate flight.
Video: Detailed guide on pairing the drone and remote control, followed by gyroscope and compass calibration for both outdoor and indoor environments.
- Power On: Place the drone on a flat, level surface. Press and hold the power button on the drone for 3 seconds until the lights blink. Then, press and hold the power button on the remote control for 3 seconds. All LED indicators will turn solid when automatic pairing is successful.
- Outdoor Calibration (GPS Mode):
- Gyroscope Calibration: Push both joysticks simultaneously to the 5 o'clock position. The drone's lights will blink rapidly, then become solid after a "di" sound, indicating successful gyroscope calibration.
- Compass Calibration (Horizontal): Push both joysticks simultaneously to the 7 o'clock position. The remote screen will prompt "Horizontal calibration operation." Lift the drone to about 1.2 meters and rotate it horizontally three times until the remote beeps "di" and the drone lights indicate success (green blinking, red solid).
- Compass Calibration (Vertical): The remote screen will immediately prompt "Vertical calibration operation." Turn the drone vertically three times until the remote beeps "di-di" and the drone lights indicate success (green blinking rapidly, red solid, then green solid, red blinking slowly).
- Indoor Calibration (Indoor Mode): If flying indoors, switch to Indoor Mode by long-pressing the GPS/Indoor Mode button on the remote. Then perform gyroscope and compass calibration as described above. Note: GPS signal is not available indoors, so satellite search will not occur.
Operating Instructions
1. Propeller Unlocking/Locking
There are two methods to unlock the propellers:
- Method 1 (One-Press Unlock): Briefly press the unlock button on the remote control. The propellers will start spinning. Press again to stop them.
- Method 2 (Joystick Unlock): Simultaneously push the left joystick to the 7 o'clock position and the right joystick to the 5 o'clock position. The propellers will start spinning. Repeat the action to stop them.
2. Take-off and Landing
Ensure propellers are unlocked before attempting take-off.
- One-Key Take-off/Landing: Briefly press the One-Key Take-off/Landing button on the remote control. The drone will automatically ascend to about 1 meter. Press the button again to initiate an automatic landing.
- Manual Take-off/Landing: After unlocking the propellers, gently push the left joystick upwards to take off. To land, gently pull the left joystick downwards until the drone lands and the propellers stop.
3. Flight Controls (Joystick Functions)
The remote control joysticks provide precise control over the drone's movement:
- Left Joystick:
- Up/Down: Controls altitude (ascend/descend).
- Left/Right: Controls yaw (rotates the drone left/right).
- Right Joystick:
- Up/Down: Controls forward/backward movement.
- Left/Right: Controls left/right sideward flight.
4. Speed Adjustment
The drone offers three adjustable speed levels:
- Locate the speed adjustment wheel on the top right of the remote control.
- Slide the wheel to the right to increase speed (up to Level 3, indicated by "di-di-di" sound).
- Slide the wheel to the left to decrease speed (down to Level 1, indicated by "di" sound).
5. Intelligent Flight Modes
The Ameta S20 Pro features several intelligent flight modes for creative shots and enhanced control:
- GPS Follow Me: The drone will automatically follow your movements, capturing dynamic footage.
- Waypoint Flight: Plan a custom flight path on the app's map, and the drone will autonomously follow the route, allowing for hands-free filming.
- Circle Flight: The drone orbits around a designated point, creating a smooth, cinematic circular shot.
- Rocket Takeoff: The drone ascends vertically to about 15 meters and then returns to its starting point for a dramatic shot.
- Dronie (Éloignement): The drone flies backward and upward, gradually revealing a wider scene.
- Panorama: The drone rotates horizontally to capture multiple photos, which can be stitched together to create a panoramic image.
- Timelapse: The drone hovers in place and records over an extended period to capture the passage of time.
- Gesture Control: Use specific hand gestures to trigger photo or video recording.

Maintenance
1. Propeller Replacement
If a propeller is damaged, replace it with a spare from your kit. Ensure correct installation:
- Removal: Hold the drone motor. Use the screwdriver to unscrew the two screws holding the propeller. Gently remove the damaged propeller.
- Installation: Match the new propeller (labeled A or B) to the corresponding motor arm (also labeled A or B). Place the propeller on the motor, align the screw holes, and secure it with the screws using the screwdriver. Ensure the propeller is firmly attached but not overtightened.
2. Battery Care
- Always remove the battery from the drone when not in use to prolong its lifespan.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not overcharge or over-discharge batteries.
3. General Cleaning
- Wipe the drone and remote control with a soft, dry cloth after each use.
- Avoid exposing the drone to water or moisture.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Ameta S20 Pro drone, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Drone Fails to Power On: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. Check if the power button is pressed and held for the required duration.
- Remote Control Fails to Power On: Check if the AAA batteries are correctly inserted and have sufficient charge.
- Drone Fails to Pair: Ensure both the drone and remote control are powered on and placed on a flat surface. Repeat the pairing process. If issues persist, try turning both devices off and on again.
- Unstable Flight: Perform gyroscope and compass calibration again on a flat, level surface. Ensure there are no strong magnetic interferences nearby.
- No GPS Signal (Outdoor): Ensure you are in an open area with a clear view of the sky. Wait for the drone to acquire sufficient satellite connections (indicated by the remote control screen).
- Poor Camera Feed/Connection: Ensure your mobile phone is correctly connected to the drone's Wi-Fi network. Check for any obstructions between the drone and your phone.
- Propellers Not Spinning: Ensure the drone is unlocked. Check for any obstructions or damage to the propellers.
