Setup and Installation

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the appliance from its packaging. Retain packaging materials for future transport or storage.
  2. Placement: Place the water cooler on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 4 inches (10 cm) of clearance from walls on all sides for proper ventilation. Avoid placing near direct sunlight or heat sources.
  3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the drip tray and ice bin with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Water Bottle Installation:
    • Remove the protective seal from the top of a new 3 or 5-gallon water bottle.
    • Carefully invert the water bottle and place it firmly onto the water bottle support collar on top of the dispenser. Ensure it is seated correctly to prevent leaks.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  6. Initial Priming: Before dispensing water or making ice, allow the unit to sit for at least 30 minutes after plugging in to allow the refrigerants to settle. Then, dispense at least 1-2 cups of cold water and 1-2 cups of hot water (after heating) to prime the system and remove any air.

It is recommended to clean and descale the internal water tanks every 3-6 months, or more frequently depending on water quality and usage.

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the water bottle.
  2. Drain all water from the hot and cold tanks using the drain plugs located at the back of the unit.
  3. Prepare a cleaning solution: Mix 1 gallon of water with 1 teaspoon of household bleach OR a solution of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio).
  4. Pour the cleaning solution into the water reservoir at the top of the unit.
  5. Allow the solution to sit for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Drain the cleaning solution completely from both hot and cold water spouts and the drain plugs.
  7. Rinse the unit thoroughly by filling the reservoir with clean water and draining it completely several times until no odor of the cleaning solution remains.
  8. Replace the drain plugs, install a new water bottle, and follow the initial priming steps before use.
