Safety Information

Important Safety Precautions:

• Always plug the unit into a grounded electrical outlet.
• Do not operate the unit if the power cord is damaged.
• Keep the unit away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
• Ensure proper ventilation around the unit.
• Do not immerse the unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• Supervise children when they are near the water cooler, especially when dispensing hot water. The hot water dispenser is equipped with a child safety lock.
• Only use potable water in the dispenser.
• Unplug the unit before cleaning or maintenance.

Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the water cooler from its packaging. Remove all plastic wrap and tape.
2. Placement: Place the unit on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 4 inches of clearance from the wall to allow for proper ventilation. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near heat-generating appliances.
3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe down the inside of the machine, especially the coolant coils, with a warm, damp cloth. It is recommended to run several batches of cleaning solution (e.g., a mixture of 1/3 white vinegar to 2/3 water) through the unit, followed by several glasses of clean water, to thoroughly flush the system.
4. Water Bottle Installation:
   • Clean the neck of the 3 or 5-gallon water bottle.
   • Remove the cap from the water bottle.
   • Carefully lift the water bottle and invert it, placing its neck into the support collar on top of the dispenser. Ensure it is seated firmly.
5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded 110-120V AC outlet.
6. Allow to Settle: After plugging in, allow the unit to stand for at least 30 minutes before turning on the heating or cooling functions to allow the refrigerant to settle.

Operating Instructions

• Power Indicator: Illuminates when the unit is powered on.
• Water Storage Indicator (Add Water): Turns red when the water level in the bottle is insufficient.
• Heating Water Indicator: Illuminates when the hot water heating element is active.
• Cooling Water Indicator: Illuminates when the cold water cooling system is active.
• Ice Making Indicator: Illuminates when the ice making function is active.

Dispensing Water

1. Cold Water: Place your cup under the cold water spout. Press the "Cold Water Dispense" button. Release the button to stop the flow.
2. Hot Water: This unit features a child safety lock for hot water.
   • First, press and hold the "Child Lock" button.
   • While holding the child lock, press the "Hot Water Dispense" button.
   • Release both buttons to stop the flow.

   Note: Hot water temperature averages around 179°F (82°C), suitable for brewing tea or instant beverages.

Ice Making Function

The built-in ice maker can produce up to 33 pounds of ice daily. It produces bullet-shaped ice cubes in cycles of 6-8 minutes.

• The ice maker will automatically pause if the water level is insufficient (indicated by a warning light) or when the ice bin is full.
• To access ice, open the lower compartment door and use the provided ice scoop.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your water cooler.

1. External Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
2. Drip Tray Cleaning: The drip tray should be emptied and cleaned regularly to prevent overflow and bacterial growth. Simply slide it out, empty, wash with mild soap and water, rinse, and replace.
3. Internal Cleaning/Descaling:
   • Unplug the unit and remove the water bottle.
   • Drain all water from the hot and cold reservoirs using the drain plugs located at the back of the unit.
   • Prepare a descaling solution (e.g., a mixture of white vinegar and water, or a commercial descaling agent).
   • Pour the solution into the top reservoir and allow it to sit for 20-30 minutes.
   • Drain the solution completely.
   • Rinse the reservoirs thoroughly by filling with clean water and draining several times until no odor or taste of the cleaning solution remains.
   • Replace drain plugs securely.
4. Ice Bin Cleaning: Periodically remove and clean the ice bin with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry before replacing.
