3. Setup

Before operating your LinkIQ tester, ensure it is adequately charged using the provided AC charger. Connect the USB-C end of the charging cable to the LinkIQ unit and the USB-A end to the AC charger, then plug into a power outlet. The device features a touch screen color display for intuitive navigation.

To begin testing, connect the LinkIQ to the network cable or port you wish to test using the RJ45 port. For remote cable testing, utilize the Remote ID #1 unit by connecting it to the far end of the cable run.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Cable Performance Testing

The LinkIQ validates cable performance up to 10GBASE-T using frequency-based measurements. This allows you to assess the bandwidth capabilities of your cabling infrastructure.
