3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight counter-clockwise.
  2. Insert the included rechargeable lithium-ion battery with the positive (+) terminal facing towards the head of the flashlight.
  3. Screw the tail cap back on clockwise until it is securely tightened. Ensure the O-ring is properly seated to maintain water resistance.

3.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the battery. The L35 uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that can be charged via the included USB cable.

  1. Remove the battery from the flashlight.
  2. Connect the USB charging cable to the battery and a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
  3. The battery's indicator light will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
  4. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and reinsert the battery into the flashlight.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

  • Side Switch: Press and hold the side switch for approximately 0.5 seconds to turn the flashlight ON or OFF.
  • Tactical Tail Switch: Press the tactical tail switch for momentary ON (Turbo mode). Fully click for constant ON (Turbo mode). Click again to turn OFF.

4.2 Brightness Level Selection

When the flashlight is ON using the side switch:

  • Press the side switch to cycle through brightness levels: Ultra-Low → Low → Mid → High.
  • Double-click the side switch to activate Turbo mode.
  • Triple-click the side switch to activate Strobe mode.

4.3 Lockout Function

To prevent accidental activation, the L35 features a lockout function:

  • Activate Lockout: When the flashlight is OFF, press and hold the side switch for 3 seconds. The light will flash briefly to indicate lockout mode is engaged.
  • Deactivate Lockout: Press and hold the side switch for 3 seconds. The light will flash briefly, and then turn on at the last used brightness level, indicating lockout mode is disengaged.

4.4 Power Indicator

The power indicator on the side switch displays the remaining battery power:

  • Green Light: Battery power is sufficient.
  • Red Light: Battery power is low, recharge soon.
  • Flashing Red Light: Battery power is critically low, recharge immediately.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  • Clean the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Keep the threads and O-rings clean. Apply silicone grease periodically to the O-rings to maintain water resistance.
  • Clean the lens with a lens cleaning cloth to ensure optimal light output.

5.2 Battery Care

  • Recharge the battery regularly, especially if the flashlight is not used for extended periods.
  • Store the flashlight and battery in a cool, dry place.
  • If storing for a long time, remove the battery from the flashlight to prevent potential leakage.
