1. Overview

The BLU View 5 (B160V) is a feature-rich smartphone designed for reliable performance and ease of use. It comes equipped with a 6.5-inch HD+ display, ample storage, and efficient RAM to handle daily mobile tasks seamlessly. This device is specifically configured for the Tracfone network.

2. What's in the Box

Upon unboxing your BLU Tracfone View 5, please verify that all the following items are included:

• USB-C Cable
• SIM Ejector Tool

3. Setup

3.1. SIM Card Installation

1. Locate the SIM card tray on the side of your device.
2. Insert the SIM ejector tool into the small hole next to the tray and gently push until the tray pops out.
3. Place your Nano-SIM card into the designated slot on the tray, ensuring the gold contacts face down.
4. Carefully reinsert the tray back into the phone until it clicks into place.

3.2. Initial Power On

1. Press and hold the Power button (located on the right side of the phone) until the BLU logo appears.
2. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the initial setup, including language selection, Wi-Fi connection, and Google account sign-in.

3.3. Charging the Device

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge your BLU View 5.

• Connect the USB-C cable to the charging port at the bottom of the phone.
• Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) and plug it into a wall outlet.
• The battery icon on the screen will indicate charging status.

4. Operating Your Device

4.1. Basic Navigation

• Home Screen: Swipe left or right to access different panels.
• App Drawer: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to view all installed applications.
• Notifications: Swipe down from the top of the screen to access notifications and quick settings.
• Back Button: Tap the < icon to go back to the previous screen.
• Home Button: Tap the O icon to return to the home screen.
• Recent Apps: Tap the □ icon to view and switch between recently used applications.

4.2. Making Calls

1. Tap the Phone icon on the home screen or app drawer.
2. Enter the phone number using the dial pad.
3. Tap the Call button to initiate the call.

4.3. Sending Messages

1. Tap the Messages icon.
2. Tap the Start chat or New message icon.
3. Enter the recipient's number or select from contacts.
4. Type your message in the text field and tap the Send button.

4.4. Camera Usage

1. Open the Camera app.
2. Frame your shot.
3. Tap the Shutter button to take a photo or start/stop video recording.

4.5. Connecting to Wi-Fi

1. Go to Settings > Network & internet > Internet.
2. Toggle Wi-Fi On.
3. Select your desired Wi-Fi network from the list.
4. Enter the password if prompted and tap Connect.

• Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the screen and body of the phone. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
• Software Updates: Regularly check for and install system updates to ensure optimal performance and security. Go to Settings > System > System update.
