5. Setup

  1. Placement: Place the active and passive speakers on a stable surface, ideally at ear level, forming an equilateral triangle with your listening position for optimal stereo imaging.
  2. Connect Speakers: Use the provided speaker cable to connect the "OUTPUTS (Speaker)" terminals on the active speaker to the "INPUT" terminals on the passive speaker. Ensure correct polarity (red to red, black to black).
  3. Connect Audio Source:
    • RCA: Connect your audio source (e.g., mixer, audio interface) to the "INPUTS (RCA)" on the active speaker.
    • Coaxial: Connect a digital audio source to the "COAXIAL Input" on the active speaker.
    • USB: Insert a USB drive with audio files into the USB port on the side panel.
  4. Connect Power: Connect the power cable to the "AC INPUT" on the active speaker and then to a suitable wall outlet.
  5. Power On: Flip the "POWER" switch on the rear panel of the active speaker to the "ON" position.

6. Operating Instructions

  1. Select Input Source: Use the "MODE" buttons on the side panel of the active speaker to cycle through the available input sources (Bluetooth, Line In, USB, Coaxial). The LED indicator will change color or pattern to indicate the selected mode.
  2. Adjust Volume: Rotate the "VOL" knob to adjust the overall listening volume. Start at a low volume and gradually increase it to a comfortable level.
  3. Adjust Tone: Use the "TRE" (Treble) and "BAS" (Bass) knobs to fine-tune the high and low frequencies according to your preference or room acoustics.
  4. USB Playback: When USB mode is selected, the system will automatically play audio files from the connected USB drive. Use the mode buttons to skip tracks or pause playback if supported.

7. Bluetooth Pairing

To connect your Bluetooth-enabled device to the Fame MMS-4 monitors:

  1. Enable Bluetooth Mode: Press the "MODE" button on the active speaker's side panel until the Bluetooth input is selected. The LED indicator will typically flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  2. Activate Bluetooth on Device: On your smartphone, tablet, or computer, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Fame MMS-4": From the list of found devices, select "Fame MMS-4".
  4. Confirm Connection: Once paired, the LED indicator on the active speaker will typically stop flashing and remain solid, indicating a successful connection. You can now play audio from your device through the monitors.
