Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Sorandy Sprinkler Timer. Setup

1. Battery Installation

The Sprinkler Timer requires two AA batteries (not included) for operation. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device. Open the compartment, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators, and securely close the cover.

2. Connecting the Timer

The timer features a 3/4-inch universal thread at the top joint, making it compatible with most standard hose connections. Ensure the included washer is properly seated in the top connector to prevent leaks. Attach the timer securely to your outdoor faucet or water source. Then, connect your garden hose or irrigation system to the bottom outlet of the timer.

Installation is tool-free and straightforward. Ensure all connections are hand-tight to prevent water leakage.

Operating Instructions

The Sorandy Sprinkler Timer is programmed using its intuitive dial and control buttons. The LED display clearly shows the set parameters.

Programming Modes (Control Dial):

• Set clock: Use this mode to set the current time on the timer. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the time and 'OK' to confirm.
• Start time: Set the desired time for your watering cycle to begin.
• How long: Define the duration of each watering session (e.g., 10 minutes, 30 minutes).
• How often: Specify the frequency of watering (e.g., every 12 hours, every 24 hours, every 2 days).
• AUTO: Once all parameters are set, turn the dial to 'AUTO' for the timer to operate according to your programmed schedule.
• OFF: Turns off all scheduled watering.

Manual Watering:

To initiate immediate watering without affecting your programmed schedule, press the manual watering button (indicated by a faucet icon). You can then set a temporary watering duration. This feature is useful for quick spot watering or testing your system.

Maintenance

• Battery Replacement: When the battery indicator on the LED display shows low power, replace the two AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.
• Cleaning: Periodically check the filter screen located in the top connector for debris. Clean it as needed to maintain optimal water flow and prevent blockages.
• Storage: During freezing temperatures, disconnect the timer from the faucet and store it indoors to prevent damage from ice expansion.
• Water Resistance: The timer has an IP55 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. However, it should not be submerged in water.

Troubleshooting

• Timer not turning on: Check if batteries are installed correctly and are not depleted. Replace if necessary.
• No water flow: Ensure the water source is turned on. Check for blockages in the timer's filter or hose. Verify that the timer is set to 'AUTO' or manual watering is activated.
• Leaking connections: Ensure all connections are tight and that the rubber washer is properly seated in the top inlet. Replace the washer if it is damaged.
• Incorrect watering schedule: Re-check your programmed settings for 'Start time', 'How long', and 'How often'. Ensure the dial is set to 'AUTO'.
