2. Setup
2.1. Inserting SIM Card and SD Card (Optional)
Your BLU View 5 uses a Nano-SIM card. Follow these steps to insert your SIM card:
- Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the device.
- Insert the provided SIM tool into the small hole next to the tray to eject it.
- Place your Nano-SIM card(s) and/or microSD card (if applicable) into the tray with the gold contacts facing down. Ensure they are correctly seated.
- Gently push the tray back into the slot until it clicks into place.
2.2. Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the device battery. Use only the BLU-approved charger and USB-C cable provided with your device.
- Connect the USB-C cable to the charging port at the bottom of the phone.
- Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to the power adapter.
- Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
- The charging indicator will appear on the screen.
Note: It is recommended to fully charge the battery before initial use to optimize battery life.
2.3. Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Power button (located on the right side) until the BLU logo appears.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until the power options menu appears, then tap "Power off".
- To Restart: Press and hold the Power button until the power options menu appears, then tap "Restart".
2.4. Initial Setup Wizard
Upon first power-on, the device will guide you through an initial setup wizard. This includes selecting your language, connecting to Wi-Fi, setting up your Google account, and configuring security options.
3. Operating Your Device
3.1. Home Screen Overview
The home screen is your central hub for accessing applications, widgets, and notifications. Swipe left or right to navigate between home screen panels. Swipe down from the top to access the notification panel and quick settings.
3.2. Making Calls
- Tap the Phone icon on the home screen.
- Enter the phone number using the dial pad, or select a contact from your contacts list.
- Tap the Call button to initiate the call.
3.3. Sending Messages
- Tap the Messages icon.
- Tap the Start chat or New message button.
- Enter the recipient's number or select from contacts.
- Type your message in the text field and tap the Send button.

- Tap the Camera icon on the home screen.
- Frame your shot.
- Tap the Shutter button to take a photo or the Record button to start/stop video recording.

- Go to Settings > Network & internet > Internet.
- Toggle Wi-Fi On.
- Select your desired Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter the password if prompted, then tap Connect.
