Familiarize yourself with the controls before operating the range.

Figure 5.1: Close-up view of the push-and-turn stainless steel ignition knobs for the cooktop burners and oven functions.
5.1 Cooktop Operation
The cooktop features five sealed burners, each controlled by a dedicated push-and-turn knob.
- Burner Configuration:
- One 17,400 BTU triple ring burner (typically central)
- One 8,200 BTU rapid burner
- Two 6,900 BTU semi-rapid burners
- One 5,000 BTU auxiliary burner
- Ignition: Push the desired burner knob in and turn it counter-clockwise to the "HIGH" position. Hold for a few seconds until the burner ignites. Adjust the flame size by turning the knob between "HIGH" and "LOW" settings.
- Flame Adjustment: The flame should be stable and blue. Adjust the flame size to match the bottom of your cookware. A flame that extends beyond the cookware wastes energy.
- Cast Iron Grates: The heavy-duty cast iron grates provide stable support for cookware and distribute heat evenly.
5.2 Oven Operation
The 3.8 cu. ft. oven offers rapid convection technology and multiple cooking functions.

- Broil: Uses the 5,800 BTU broil burner for intense top-down heat.
- Fan Convection: Activates the convection fan to circulate hot air, ensuring even cooking and faster results.
- Light: Turns on the interior oven light.
- Setting Temperature and Time: Use the electronic controls and digital display to set the desired oven temperature and cooking time. Refer to the specific instructions in the full manual for detailed programming steps.
- Preheating: Always preheat the oven to the desired temperature before placing food inside, especially for baking.
- Oven Racks: The oven is equipped with 2 racks. Adjust their positions to suit your cooking needs.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your gas range.
6.1 Cooktop Cleaning
- Grates: Allow cast iron grates to cool completely. They can be washed with warm soapy water or placed in a dishwasher. Dry thoroughly to prevent rust.
- Burner Caps and Bases: Remove burner caps and bases when cool. Clean with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive brush. Ensure they are completely dry before reassembling.
- Stainless Steel Surface: Clean the stainless steel cooktop panel with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. Wipe in the direction of the grain.
6.2 Oven Cleaning
- Interior: For light spills, wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent when the oven is cool. For heavier soil, use an oven cleaner specifically designed for gas ovens, following the product instructions carefully.
