3. Setup
3.1. Battery Charging
Before first use, fully charge both 5.0Ah lithium-ion batteries. Connect the charger to a power outlet and then to the battery. The charging indicator light will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 2.5 hours per battery.
3.2. Chain and Guide Bar Installation
- Ensure the battery is removed from the chainsaw.
- Loosen the chain tensioning knob (tool-free adjustment) and remove the side cover.
- Carefully place the chain around the drive sprocket and then into the groove of the guide bar. Ensure the cutting edges of the chain are facing the correct direction (refer to the arrow on the guide bar).
- Position the guide bar onto the chainsaw, ensuring the chain tensioning pin fits into the hole on the guide bar.
- Replace the side cover and hand-tighten the chain tensioning knob.
- Adjust the chain tension by rotating the knob. The chain should be snug against the guide bar but still able to be pulled freely by hand. A properly tensioned chain will have about 2-3mm of play when pulled away from the bar at its midpoint.
- Once tensioned, fully tighten the chain tensioning knob.

3.3. Filling the Automatic Lubrication System
The chainsaw features an automatic lubrication system to ensure smooth operation and prolong chain life.
- Ensure the battery is removed.
- Locate the oil reservoir cap on the chainsaw.
- Unscrew the cap and fill the reservoir with high-quality bar and chain oil (not included). Use the provided empty oil bottle for easier pouring.
- Do not overfill. Monitor the oil level through the transparent window during operation.
- Securely replace the oil reservoir cap.

4. Operation
4.1. Starting the Chainsaw
Always ensure you are wearing appropriate PPE before starting the chainsaw.
- Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands.
- Press and hold the safety lock button (usually located on the top of the handle).
- While holding the safety lock button, squeeze the trigger switch to start the chainsaw. Release the trigger to stop.
4.2. Cutting Techniques
- Stable Stance: Maintain a balanced and stable stance.
- Avoid Forcing: Let the chainsaw do the work. Do not force the chain through the wood.
- Kickback Zone: Be aware of the kickback danger zone at the tip of the guide bar.
- Cutting Small Branches: Support the branch to prevent it from pinching the chain.
- Cutting Larger Logs: Make a relief cut on the underside if the log is under tension, then cut from the top.
4.3. Safety Features
The SEESII M12 Studio chainsaw is equipped with safety features for user protection:
- Safety Lock Button: Prevents accidental starting. The trigger cannot be engaged without first pressing this button.
- Hand Guard: A reinforced hand guard protects your hand from debris and branches during operation.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your chainsaw. Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance.
5.1. Chain Tension
Check chain tension frequently, especially during the first hour of use and after prolonged cutting. Adjust as described in Section 3.2.
5.2. Chain Sharpening
A dull chain will reduce cutting efficiency and increase the risk of kickback. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it when necessary. Refer to a professional for sharpening if unsure.
5.3. Cleaning
- After each use, clean the chainsaw body with a damp cloth.
- Remove the side cover and clean sawdust and debris from around the sprocket, guide bar, and chain.
- Ensure the oil outlet hole is clear of debris to maintain proper lubrication.
5.4. Storage
When not in use, store the chainsaw in a dry, secure place, out of reach of children. Always attach the guide bar protector. Remove the battery before storage.
