Setup and Installation

The DUSKTEC 6-inch recessed lights are designed for easy installation in existing 5-6 inch recessed can housings. Follow these steps:

  1. Turn off Power: Before starting, ensure the power to the fixture is turned off at the circuit breaker.
  2. Remove Existing Trim: Carefully remove the existing recessed light bulb and trim from the housing.
  3. Screw in E26 Base: Screw the E26 base adapter of the DUSKTEC light into the existing socket in the recessed can.
  4. Attach Connectors: Connect the male and female connectors from the light fixture to the E26 base adapter.
  5. Mount Light: Gently push the light fixture into the recessed can. The spring clips will secure the light in place.
  6. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

Operating Instructions

Your DUSKTEC recessed lights are controlled using the included infrared remote. No internet connection or complex app is required.

Remote Control Functions

  • Power On/Off: Use the ON and OFF buttons to turn the lights on or off.
  • Brightness Adjustment:
    • Fixed Brightness: Buttons for 100%, 50%, 30%, 10%, and 0.5% (Night Light Mode).
    • Fine-tuning: Use the Dim Up and Dim Down buttons for precise brightness control.
  • Color Temperature (CCT): Select from various white light temperatures:
    • Warm White (WW): 2700K
    • Cool White (CW): 6000K
    • Daylight (DW): A balanced white light.
  • RGB Colors: Choose from 9 distinct RGB colors using the dedicated color buttons.
  • Dynamic Modes:
    • Flash Mode: For party settings.
    • Smooth Mode: For relaxation.
    • Romantic Mode: Creates a specific ambiance.
    • Strobe (RGB): One key start, adjust frequency using speed buttons.
    • Preset Programs: One key start for pre-configured color sequences.
  • Delay Light Off Function:
    • Press once for a 1-minute delay.
    • Press twice in quick succession for a 2-minute delay, and so on, up to 12 minutes.
    • To cancel, power off or press any other key.

Key Features in Operation

  • Sync Function: Control all nearby recessed ceiling lights simultaneously with one remote. The rhythm of color changes remains consistent across all synced lights.
  • Memory Function: The last setting (color, brightness, mode) will be retained after turning off the remote control. Note: This function is not available if the wall switch is used to turn off the lights.
  • No Flicker: Experience soft, stable lighting that reduces eye fatigue.
  • High Color Rendering Index (CRI >90): Displays true colors with exceptional accuracy, making objects appear more vivid.
