7. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your LiFePO4 battery.

  • Regular Inspection: Periodically check the battery terminals for corrosion and ensure all connections are tight.
  • Cleaning: Keep the battery clean and free of dirt and debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe the battery surface. Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: If storing the battery for an extended period, ensure it is charged to approximately 50-70% of its capacity. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Recharge every 3-6 months to prevent deep discharge.
  • Temperature: The optimal operating temperature range is between -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F). The BMS provides protection against extreme high/low temperatures.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your LOSSIGY battery, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Battery not charging Charger not connected, faulty charger, BMS protection activated. Ensure charger is properly connected and plugged in. Check charger indicator lights. If BMS protection is active (e.g., due to over-discharge), try reconnecting the charger. Contact support if issue persists.
No power output from battery Loose connections, BMS protection activated (over-discharge, overcurrent, short circuit). Check all cable connections for tightness. Use the monitoring app/display to check battery status. If BMS has tripped, remove the load and allow the battery to reset or charge.
Bluetooth app not connecting Bluetooth disabled on phone, battery out of range, app issue. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and you are within range of the battery. Restart the app or your phone.
Reduced run time Battery not fully charged, aging battery, high power draw. Ensure battery is fully charged before use. Monitor power consumption. While the battery has a long cycle life, capacity can gradually decrease over many years of heavy use.
