3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Open the camera housing by unlatching the side clips.
  2. Locate the battery compartment. The camera requires 8 AA batteries (not included).
  3. Insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment securely.

3.2 SD Card Insertion

  1. With the camera housing open, locate the SD card slot.
  2. Insert a compatible SD card (up to 512GB, Class 10 or higher recommended) into the slot with the label facing up until it clicks into place.

  1. After installing batteries and SD card, move the power switch to the 'ON' position. The LCD screen will illuminate.

Regularly check the SD card capacity. When the card is full, the camera will stop recording. It is recommended to format the SD card periodically using the camera's format function (found in the menu) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up important files before formatting.

Gently wipe the camera lens and infrared emitters with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove dirt, dust, or smudges. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the camera housing clean and free of debris. Ensure the rubber seals around the housing are clean and intact to maintain water resistance.
