1. Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons. Read all instructions carefully before operating this appliance.

  • Do not immerse the main unit housing, which contains electrical components and heating elements, in water or rinse under the tap.
  • Ensure the voltage indicated on the appliance matches your local main voltage before connecting the appliance.
  • Do not use the appliance if the plug, the main cord, or the appliance itself is damaged.
  • Always unplug the appliance after use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool down completely before handling.
  • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal, and heat-resistant surface. Do not place it on or near hot gas or electric burners, or in a heated oven.
  • Do not block the air intake and air outlet openings.
  • The appliance is equipped with an overheat protection system. If the internal temperature becomes too high, the protection system will activate, and the appliance will automatically shut off. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down before restarting.
  • This appliance is intended for household use only.

3. Before First Use

Before using your new air fryer for the first time, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack: Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels from the appliance.
  2. Clean Components: Wash the frying basket and pan thoroughly with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse and dry completely.
  3. Wipe Main Unit: Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a moist cloth.
  4. Initial Burn-in (Optional but Recommended): To eliminate any manufacturing odors, place the empty basket and pan back into the air fryer. Plug in the appliance and set it to 200°C (390°F) for about 10-15 minutes. A slight odor may be present during this process; this is normal. Ensure good ventilation.

4. Setup

The HOMCOM 8L Air Fryer requires no assembly. Follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Placement: Place the air fryer on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of free space on the back and sides, and above the appliance, to allow for proper air circulation.
  2. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded wall outlet.
  3. Ensure the frying basket and pan are correctly inserted into the main unit.

5. Operating Instructions

  • Power Button: Turns the appliance on/off and starts/pauses cooking.
  • Temperature Control: Use '+' and '-' buttons to adjust temperature from 80°C to 200°C.
  • Timer Control: Use '+' and '-' buttons to adjust cooking time from 1 to 60 minutes.
  • Preset Programs: Icons for various food types (Fries, Chicken, Steak, Fish, Baking, Pizza, Vegetables, DIY).

Basic Operation:

  1. Prepare Food: Place ingredients into the frying basket. Do not overfill the basket.
  2. Insert Basket: Slide the frying basket back into the main unit until it clicks into place.
  3. Power On: Press the Power button to turn on the display.
  4. Set Time and Temperature: Manually adjust the desired cooking time and temperature using the respective '+' and '-' buttons.
  5. Start Cooking: Press the Power button again to start the cooking process.
  6. Shake Basket (Optional): For some foods, shaking the basket halfway through cooking ensures even browning. Pull out the basket, shake it, and reinsert. The air fryer will resume cooking automatically.
  7. Completion: The air fryer will beep when the set cooking time has elapsed and automatically shut off.
  8. Remove Food: Carefully pull out the basket using the handle. Use tongs to remove cooked food.

  1. Select Program: After powering on, tap the desired preset icon on the control panel. The display will show the default time and temperature for that program.
  2. Adjust (Optional): You can adjust the time and temperature of a preset program if needed.
  3. Start Cooking: Press the Power button to begin.

The air fryer utilizes 360° hot air circulation technology to cook food evenly and efficiently, resulting in crispy textures with significantly less oil.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning will extend the life of your air fryer and ensure optimal performance.

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the air fryer from the power outlet and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
  2. Clean Basket and Pan: The frying basket and pan have a non-stick coating. Clean them with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. For stubborn food residues, soak the basket and pan in hot water with dish soap for about 10 minutes.
  3. Wipe Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can damage the surface.
  4. Clean Interior: Clean the inside of the appliance with hot water and a non-abrasive sponge.
