1. Important Safety Instructions
Please read all instructions carefully before using your Gevi Espresso Machine. Keep this manual for future reference.
- Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
- Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- Use the appliance only on a flat, stable surface.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- Use only cold water in the water tank.
- Do not remove the portafilter during the brewing cycle.
- Always ensure the water tank is filled before operating the machine.
2. Product Overview
The Gevi ECMI0-SS0A1 Espresso Machine is designed to bring barista-quality coffee to your home. It features a built-in conical burr grinder, a powerful 20-BAR Italian pump, and a professional milk frother for a variety of coffee beverages.

3. Components and Accessories
Your Gevi Espresso Machine comes with the following components:

4. Setup
- Unpack all components and remove any packaging materials.
- Place the espresso machine on a dry, stable, and level surface.
- Fill the 2.3 Liter removable water tank with fresh, cold water. Ensure the tank is properly seated at the back of the machine.
- Install the coffee bean hopper onto the top of the machine.
- Perform an initial rinse cycle by running hot water through the group head and steam wand without coffee.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Grinding Coffee Beans
- Add your desired amount of whole coffee beans to the hopper.
- Adjust the grind size using the dial on the hopper. There are 30 adjustable settings from coarse to ultra-fine. For espresso, a finer grind is generally preferred.
- Place the portafilter (with the appropriate filter basket) under the grinder outlet.
- Press the 'Grind' button to start grinding. The machine offers customizable grinding duration.

5.2 Tamping
After grinding, use the included tamper to evenly and firmly compress the coffee grounds in the portafilter. Ensure the grounds are level and compacted for optimal extraction.
5.3 Brewing Espresso
- Securely insert the filled and tamped portafilter into the group head of the espresso machine.
- Place your espresso cup(s) on the drip tray directly beneath the portafilter spouts.
- Select either the 'Single' or 'Double' shot button. The machine uses a 20-BAR professional Italian pump and NTC&PID temperature control for consistent brewing.

5.4 Milk Frothing and Hot Water
- Fill the stainless steel milk frothing pitcher with cold milk.
- Position the steam wand into the milk, just below the surface.
- Turn the steam knob to activate the steam. Froth the milk until desired texture and temperature are achieved.
- The steam wand also dispenses hot water for Americanos or for cleaning.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Steam Wand
Immediately after each use, wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue. Briefly purge steam to clear any internal blockages.
6.2 Cleaning the Drip Tray
The drip tray should be removed and emptied regularly. All detachable parts, including the water tray and coffee bean box, are designed for easy cleaning.

6.3 Descaling
Regular descaling is essential to maintain optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your espresso machine. Refer to the User Manual for detailed instructions on the descaling process, including the use of descaling solutions.
