Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient use of your Redodo 24V Battery Balancer. The Redodo 24V Battery Balancer is designed to maintain voltage equilibrium between two series-connected 12V batteries, extending their lifespan and improving system performance. It supports various battery types including LiFePO4, Lead Acid, and Gel batteries.

Safety Information
General Safety Precautions
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and gloves when working with batteries.
- Ensure all connections are secure and correct before applying power.
- Avoid short-circuiting battery terminals or balancer wires.
- Do not expose the balancer to water or excessive moisture.
- Operate the balancer within its specified temperature range.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Reverse Polarity Protection
The Redodo Battery Balancer includes reverse polarity protection. However, prolonged reverse connection can still cause damage. Ensure correct polarity during installation.

Connection Guide
The balancer is designed for 24V systems using two 12V batteries connected in series. It features two 50CM cables with M8 OT terminals.
- Ensure both 12V batteries are fully charged and at similar voltage levels before connecting the balancer.
- Connect the positive (+) terminal of the first 12V battery to the negative (-) terminal of the second 12V battery to create a 24V series connection.
- Connect the Redodo Battery Balancer:
- Connect the black wire (negative) of the balancer to the negative (-) terminal of the first 12V battery.
- Connect the red wire (positive) of the balancer to the positive (+) terminal of the second 12V battery.
- Connect the yellow wire (middle point) of the balancer to the series connection point between the two 12V batteries (i.e., the positive terminal of the first battery and the negative terminal of the second battery).
- Verify all connections are tight and correct. The LED display on the balancer should illuminate, showing the voltage of each 12V battery string.
Attention: When connecting the balancer to a series and parallel battery system, ensure the batteries are connected in parallel first, then in series. Make sure the positive and negative terminals of the balancer do not touch each other when connected to the battery.

Operating Instructions
The Redodo 24V Battery Balancer operates automatically. Once connected, it continuously monitors the voltage of the two 12V battery strings.
Automatic Equalization
When a voltage difference is detected between the two series-connected batteries, the balancer will automatically initiate the equalization process. It transfers current (up to 10A) from the higher voltage battery to the lower voltage battery until their voltages are balanced.
LED Display
The integrated LED display provides real-time voltage readings for each 12V battery string, allowing you to monitor their state of charge.

Maintenance
The Redodo 24V Battery Balancer is designed for long-term use without disassembly and is largely maintenance-free.
- Periodically inspect all cable connections to ensure they remain secure and free from corrosion.
- Keep the balancer clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for extended periods.
Troubleshooting
LED Display Not On
- Possible Cause: Incorrect wiring or no power.
- Solution: Check all connections for correct polarity and ensure they are securely fastened to the battery terminals. Verify that the batteries have sufficient voltage.
Batteries Not Balancing
- Possible Cause: Significant initial voltage difference or internal battery issues.
- Solution: Ensure batteries were at similar voltage levels before connecting the balancer. For large voltage discrepancies, it may take some time for the balancer to achieve equilibrium. If the issue persists, check individual battery health or consult Redodo support.
High Temperature Protection Activated
- Possible Cause: Overload or abnormal operating conditions.
- Solution: Disconnect the balancer and allow it to cool down. Inspect the battery system for any faults or excessive current draw. Reconnect once conditions are normal.
