5. Setup

5.1 Physical Placement

The clock can be placed on a flat surface using its fold-out stand or mounted on a wall. For wall mounting, use the two hanging holes located on the back of the unit. Ensure the clock is securely fastened.

5.2 Power Connection

Connect the provided power adapter to the clock and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet. The clock requires continuous power to operate.

5.3 Remote Control Battery Installation

Insert the two AAA batteries into the remote control, ensuring correct polarity.

5.4 WiFi Connection and Time Synchronization

The clock uses WiFi to automatically set and maintain accurate time. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Initial Setup Mode: With the clock unplugged, press and hold both the 'Alarm Set' and 'Timer' buttons on the back of the clock. While holding these buttons, plug in the power adapter. You will hear a beep, and the clock will enter WiFi setup mode.
  2. Connect to Clock's WiFi: On your smartphone or computer, go to your WiFi settings. You should see a network named "HQX2128" (or similar). Connect to this network.
  3. Access Configuration Page: Open a web browser on your smartphone or computer and navigate to the IP address 192.168.88.1.
  4. Configure WiFi Settings: On the web page, select "Web-Config". Enter your home WiFi network's SSID (name) and password. Select your correct time zone code and enable/disable DST as needed.
  5. Save and Connect: Click 'Save' or 'Update'. The clock will attempt to connect to your home WiFi network. Once successful, a WiFi icon will appear on the clock display, and the time will automatically synchronize.

Note: If the clock fails to connect, ensure your WiFi password is correct and that the clock is within range of your router. Repeat the steps if necessary.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Clock Display

The clock displays time (12/24 hour format), AM/PM indicator, day of the week, month, date, and indoor temperature. The date and temperature may alternate on the display.

6.2 Time Format (12/24 Hour) and Temperature Unit (°C/°F)

Press the '°C/°F' button on the remote control to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats, and between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units.

6.3 Brightness Control

The clock features an auto-dimming function that adjusts brightness based on ambient light. You can also manually control the brightness:

6.4 Alarm Clock Function

The clock supports up to three alarms with different modes:

  1. Setting an Alarm: Press the 'Alarm Set' button on the remote. Use the 'HR' and 'MIN' buttons to set the desired alarm time.
  2. Selecting Alarm Mode: After setting the time, press 'Alarm Set' again to cycle through alarm modes: '1E' (Everyday), '2E' (Monday-Friday), '3E' (Weekend).
  3. Activating/Deactivating: Press the 'Alarm ON/OFF' button to toggle the alarm on or off. An alarm icon will appear when active.
  4. Snooze: When the alarm sounds, press any button on the remote (except 'OFF') to activate snooze.
  5. Stop Alarm: Press the 'OFF' button on the remote to stop the alarm.

The clock includes both count-up and count-down timer functions.

The remote control allows convenient access to all clock functions from a distance of up to 32 feet (10 meters).
