Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and optimal operation of your wheelfun Scy 16301 1/16 4WD Remote Control Drift Car. Please read it thoroughly before use to ensure proper handling and longevity of the product.
Key features of your RC drift car include:
- Simulation structure design for a realistic car control experience.
- 2.4G full-scale synchronous remote control system offering precise throttle and steering, enabling high-speed driving, rapid acceleration, deceleration, braking, reversing, and turning.
- Equipped with a 2.4G four-way 30A integrated splash-proof Electronic Speed Controller (ESC), combining reception and control. Features low voltage cut-off (automatic shutdown below 6.3-6.4V) to prevent over-discharging, temperature control protection, and motor stall protection.
- The car shell is constructed from high-toughness explosion-proof PVC material, enhancing durability and adaptability.
Components Overview
Familiarize yourself with the main components of your RC drift car.

This diagram illustrates the primary internal and external components of the Scy 16301 RC car, including the power system, electronic speed controller, battery, and suspension.

Detailed view of the RC390 brushed motor, 7.4V 1300mAh power battery, and the 16 ball bearings integrated for smoother, more durable drive.

Close-up of the chassis features, including the metal second floor, independent spring shock absorbers, double wishbone independent suspension, and the metal middle drive shaft.
Remote Control Functions
Understand the controls of your 2.4GHz digital proportional remote control system.

The remote control features an indicator light, steering trim for fine adjustments, rudder amplitude adjustment for steering sensitivity, a reverse switch, and a power switch.
- Indicator Light: Shows power and connection status.
- ST.TRIM (Steering Fine-tuning): Adjusts the steering to ensure the car drives straight when the steering wheel is centered.
- ST.D/R (Rudder Amplitude Adjustment): Controls the maximum steering angle, allowing adjustment of steering sensitivity.
- ST.REV (Turn in Reverse): Reverses the steering direction.
- ON/OFF Switch: Powers the remote control on or off.
Setup
1. Battery Installation (Car)
- Ensure the car's power switch is in the OFF position.
- Carefully open the battery compartment on the car.
- Connect the included 7.4V 1300mAh battery to the car's ESC connector, ensuring correct polarity.
- Place the battery securely within the compartment and close the cover.
2. Battery Installation (Remote Control)
- Open the battery cover on the back of the remote control.
- Insert 3 x AA batteries (not included), paying close attention to the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals.
- Close the battery cover securely.
3. Pairing the Remote Control and Car
- Turn on the remote control first using its ON/OFF switch.
- Next, turn on the power switch on the RC car.
- The remote control's indicator light will blink and then become solid, indicating a successful connection and pairing.
Operating Instructions
1. Starting the Car
- Place the car on a flat, open surface.
- Ensure the remote control and car are powered on and successfully paired.
2. Driving
- Throttle Control: Pull the trigger towards you to move the car forward. Push the trigger away from you to brake or reverse.
- Steering Control: Turn the steering wheel left or right to steer the car in the desired direction.
- Steering Adjustment: If the car does not drive straight when the steering wheel is centered, use the ST.TRIM knob on the remote control to fine-tune the steering.
- Steering Sensitivity: Adjust the ST.D/R knob to change the maximum steering angle, making the steering more or less responsive.
3. Drifting
- To initiate a drift, apply throttle while turning the steering wheel sharply.
- Practice smooth and controlled throttle and steering inputs to maintain the drift.
- Experiment with different speeds and turning angles to master drifting techniques.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
- After each use, gently clean the car with a soft brush or cloth to remove dirt, dust, and debris from the chassis, wheels, and body.
- Avoid using water or harsh chemicals directly on electronic components. If necessary, use a slightly damp cloth and ensure components are completely dry before next use.
2. Battery Care
- Always disconnect the car's battery when not in use to prevent over-discharge.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not overcharge or over-discharge the battery. Follow the charging instructions provided with your battery charger.
3. Storage
- Store the RC car and remote control in a dry environment, away from moisture and dust.
- Remove batteries from the remote control if storing for extended periods.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your RC car, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Car not responding:
- Check if both the car and remote control are powered on.
- Ensure all batteries are charged and correctly installed in both the car and remote.
- Attempt to re-pair the remote control and car by turning both off and then on again (remote first).
- Poor performance or short run time:
- The car's battery may be low; recharge it fully.
- Check for any debris or obstructions in the moving parts of the car (wheels, drivetrain).
- Erratic steering:
- Adjust the ST.TRIM knob on the remote control to correct the steering alignment.
- Inspect steering components for any damage or loose connections.
