Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Gently pry open the back cover of the night light.
2. Insert 2 x AAA batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Close the back cover securely.

2. Initial Light Check

After inserting batteries, the light should briefly illuminate for approximately 10 seconds to confirm functionality. If it does not light up, check battery placement or replace batteries.

3. Surface Preparation & Mounting

1. Choose a clean, dry, and smooth surface for installation. Ensure the area is free from dust, dirt, and moisture.
2. Peel the protective film from one side of the double-sided adhesive pad and apply it firmly to the back of the night light.
3. Peel the protective film from the other side of the adhesive pad.
4. Press the night light firmly onto the desired surface for at least 30 seconds to ensure strong adhesion.

Important Installation Notes:

• Avoid installing motion-activated lights too close together, as the light from one unit may interfere with the light sensor of another, preventing it from activating.
• Install the light in a location where the motion sensor has a clear line of sight to the area you wish to illuminate.
• Ensure the installation surface is suitable for strong adhesive. Removing the light later may damage painted surfaces.

Operating Instructions

Automatic Operation

The DiCUNO Motion Sensor Night Light operates automatically based on ambient light levels and motion detection:

• Light Disabled: In well-lit environments (above 15 lux), the integrated light sensor prevents the night light from activating, conserving battery power.
• Dark Standby: In low-light conditions (below 15 lux), the night light enters standby mode, remaining off until motion is detected.
• Motion Activated: When motion is detected in a dark environment, the night light will automatically turn on. It will remain illuminated for approximately 20 seconds after the last detected motion, then gradually turn off.

Sensing Range

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

When the light output diminishes or the unit stops activating, it is time to replace the batteries.

1. To replace batteries, the night light unit must be detached from its mounted position. The back plate is designed to remain mounted while the light unit unclips.
