Product Overview

The Paladone Xbox Controller Digital Alarm Clock is a device designed to display time, function as an alarm, and provide a night light. It features a digital display and an Xbox controller replica on its top surface. The controller serves as both the night light activator and the snooze button. This alarm clock operates on batteries, offering flexibility in placement without the need for a power outlet.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the alarm clock.
2. Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 3x AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

Important: Ensure batteries are inserted correctly. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.

2. Initial Time Setting

Upon battery installation, the digital display will activate. Refer to the "Setting the Time" section under Operating Instructions to set the current time.

Operating Instructions

Setting the Time

1. Press and hold the TIME SET button (often marked with a clock icon) located on the front panel until the hour digits begin to flash.
2. Use the + and - buttons to adjust the hour. Observe the AM/PM indicator if using 12-hour format.
3. Press the TIME SET button again to switch to minute adjustment. The minute digits will flash.
4. Use the + and - buttons to adjust the minutes.
5. Press the TIME SET button one more time to confirm the time and exit setting mode.

Setting the Alarm

1. Press and hold the ALARM SET button (often marked with an alarm icon) located on the front panel until the alarm hour digits begin to flash.
2. Use the + and - buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
3. Press the ALARM SET button again to switch to alarm minute adjustment. The alarm minute digits will flash.
4. Use the + and - buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
5. Press the ALARM SET button one more time to confirm the alarm time. The alarm icon on the display will illuminate, indicating the alarm is active.

Snooze Function

When the alarm sounds, gently tap the Xbox controller on top of the alarm clock to activate the snooze function. The alarm will temporarily pause and sound again after a few minutes (typical snooze duration is 5-9 minutes).

Night Light Function

To activate the night light, press down on the Xbox controller. The controller will illuminate with a soft glow. Press down again to turn off the night light.

Switching 12/24 Hour Mode

To switch between 12-hour (AM/PM) and 24-hour time formats, press the MODE button (if available, or often the TIME SET button pressed briefly outside of setting mode). The display will change accordingly.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the alarm clock, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the device in water.

Battery Replacement

When the display dims or the alarm function becomes unreliable, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the "Battery Installation" steps in the Setup section to replace the 3x AA batteries.

Troubleshooting

• Display is blank or dim: Check if the batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace with fresh AA batteries if necessary.
• Alarm does not sound: Ensure the alarm time is set correctly and the alarm icon is visible on the display. Check battery level.
• Night light not working: Press firmly on the Xbox controller. If it still doesn't work, check battery level.
• Incorrect time display: Reset the time following the "Setting the Time" instructions.
