1. Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use of your Canon EOS C400 6K Full-Frame Cinema Camera. 2. Setup
2.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection
Carefully unpack all components and verify that all items listed in your product documentation are present. Inspect the camera and accessories for any signs of damage. If any items are missing or damaged, contact your vendor immediately.
2.2 Battery Installation and Charging
The camera uses a Canon BP-A30N Battery Pack. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.
- Insert the BP-A30N battery into the battery slot on the rear of the camera until it clicks into place.
- To charge, connect the Canon CA-CP300B Compact Battery Charger or the Single Battery Charger to a power outlet and attach the battery. The charging indicator will show the charging status.

2.3 Memory Card Installation
The EOS C400 supports CFexpress and SD memory cards. For 6K recording, high-speed CFexpress cards are recommended.
- Open the memory card slot cover on the side of the camera.
- Insert the CFexpress or SD card into the appropriate slot with the label facing the correct direction until it locks.
- Close the memory card slot cover securely.

2.4 Attaching the Handle Unit and Microphone Holder
Attach the handle unit and microphone holder for improved ergonomics and audio recording capabilities.
- Secure the handle unit to the top of the camera using the provided screws.
- Attach the microphone holder to the handle unit or a designated mounting point on the camera body.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Powering On/Off
Locate the POWER switch on the side of the camera. Slide it to the 'ON' position to power on. Slide to 'OFF' to power off.

3.2 Basic Recording
To begin recording, press the REC button. Press it again to stop recording. Ensure a formatted memory card is inserted and sufficient battery power is available.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning the Camera
Regular cleaning helps maintain optimal performance. Use a soft, lint-free cloth for the camera body. For the lens and sensor, use specialized cleaning tools such as a blower brush and lens cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Always power off the camera before cleaning.
