Installation Guide
The NUTOMO Smart Door Lock is designed for easy installation on most standard doors. No extra drilling is typically required, and installation can be completed with a screwdriver.
Door Preparation and Dimensions
Ensure your door meets the following specifications for proper installation:
- Door Thickness: 1 1/2" (38mm) - 1 7/8" (48mm)
- Cross Bore Diameter: 1" (25mm)
- Backset: 2 3/8" (60mm) or 2 3/4" (70mm)
- Edge Bore Diameter: 2 1/8" (54mm)

Step-by-Step Installation
- Install the Latch: Insert the latch mechanism into the door edge. Ensure the latch bolt is facing the correct direction for your door swing. Secure with screws.
- Install the Exterior Assembly: Feed the cable and spindle through the cross bore. Position the exterior lock set on the door, aligning it with the latch.
- Install the Interior Mounting Plate: Attach the mounting plate to the interior side of the door, securing it to the exterior assembly with screws. Ensure the cable passes through the plate.
- Connect the Interior Assembly: Connect the cable from the exterior assembly to the interior assembly. Ensure the handle direction is correct (reversible for left and right-handed doors).
- Install Batteries: Insert 4 AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment of the interior assembly.
- Secure Interior Assembly: Attach the interior assembly to the mounting plate and secure it with screws.
- Test Operation: Test the lock with a physical key and by manually operating the handle to ensure smooth function before programming.

Setup: App and Gateway Connection
To utilize the smart features of your NUTOMO lock, you need to connect it to the Smart Life app and the included WiFi Gateway.
1. Download the Smart Life App
Search for "Smart Life" in your smartphone's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS) and download the application. Register for an account or log in if you already have one.

2. Connect the WiFi Gateway
The Gateway (G3) enables remote control and WiFi connectivity for your smart lock. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network (5G networks are not supported for the gateway connection) and Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.

- Plug in the Gateway.
- Press and hold the reset button on the back of the Gateway until the blue indicator remains solid and the red indicator flashes slowly.
- Open the Smart Life APP, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner, then tap "Add Device".
- The app will search for nearby devices. Select the Bluetooth gateway.
- Choose a 2.4GHz WiFi network and enter its password.
- Wait for the Gateway to complete the connection process.

3. Pair the Gateway with the Lock
- Once the Gateway is added to the app, tap on the Gateway device.
- Tap "Add device" within the Gateway interface.
- The app will automatically search for your smart lock.
- Select your Smart Lock from the discovered devices to pair it with the Gateway.
Operating Instructions
Your NUTOMO Smart Lock offers multiple convenient ways to unlock and manage access.
1. Fingerprint Unlock
The integrated fingerprint sensor allows for quick and secure access. Register your fingerprints through the Smart Life app.
- Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor located on the handle.
- The lock will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.

2. Keypad/Passcode Unlock
Enter a programmed passcode on the touchscreen keypad.
- Touch the keypad to activate it.
- Enter your 6-8 digit passcode followed by the '#' key.
- The lock supports anti-peeping passcodes, allowing you to enter random digits before or after your actual code to prevent others from guessing it.

3. IC Fob Unlock
Use the provided IC Fobs for quick tap-to-unlock convenience.
- Tap a registered IC Fob against the designated area on the lock.
- The lock will unlock.

4. App Remote Control
Manage and unlock your door remotely using the Smart Life app via the WiFi Gateway.
- Open the Smart Life app and select your lock.
- Tap the unlock icon to remotely unlock the door.
- You can also generate one-time or time-limited passcodes for visitors.
- View real-time activity logs and receive alerts.

5. Physical Key Unlock
For traditional access or in case of power failure, use the provided physical keys.

- Turn the key to unlock the door.
