Setup Instructions

The AWOL VISION projector screen is designed for quick assembly, typically within three minutes, without requiring additional tools. Follow these steps for installation:

  1. Unfold and Lock Frame: Take the frame from the bag. Unfold the longer sections first until the hinges click into place. Ensure all corners form 90-degree angles with straight support bars.
  2. Attach Screen and Stretch: Unfold the screen material carefully to avoid stains. Fasten the snap buttons in strict order (A-B → C-D → Edges E-F → G-H).
  3. Secure Top and Base: Screw eye bolts to the top frame for tie-ropes. Insert folding legs into the bottom holes and tighten the small knob screws. Two-person lift is recommended for this step. (Skip support legs for 120-inch models.)
  4. Anchor Legs: For grass surfaces, hammer tent stakes through the leg holes to secure the ropes. For hard ground, use sandbags on the base (sandbags not included).

Maintenance

Cleaning the Screen

The projector screen can be cleaned with mild soap and water. This helps maintain the screen's surface for long-lasting enjoyment.

Storage

After use, disassemble the screen and store it in the provided rolling carry bag. The compact folding size (approximately 47.64 x 11.81 x 7.48 inches) allows for easy transport and storage, even in a compact car trunk.

Troubleshooting

Screen Wrinkles

Due to the screen's foldable design for economical shipping and portability, slight creases may be present upon initial unpacking. These creases typically minimize once the screen is stretched taut on the frame. Ensure the screen is properly stretched and fastened to the frame's snap buttons to achieve a smooth viewing surface.

Stability in Wind

The frame is constructed from grade zinc alloy and wind-resistant aluminum for durability. However, in windy conditions, it is recommended to use the provided nylon ropes and tent stakes to anchor the screen securely. For hard surfaces, sandbags (not included) can be placed on the base for added stability.
