4. Setup
4.1. Power Connection
The ACDC-200L supports both 110V and 220V input power. Use the provided 110V/220V adapter cord to connect the welder to an appropriate power source. Ensure the power outlet matches the voltage selected on the machine and is properly grounded.
4.2. Gas Connection (TIG Welding)
For TIG welding, an inert shielding gas (typically Argon) is required. Connect the provided Argon Gas Regulator to your gas cylinder. Attach the gas hose from the regulator to the gas inlet on the rear panel of the welder. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent gas leaks.
4.3. Torch and Ground Clamp Connection
- TIG Torch (WP-26): Connect the TIG torch cable to the appropriate connector on the front panel of the welder. Ensure the gas line from the torch is also connected.
- Electrode Holder (Stick Welding): For Stick welding, connect the electrode holder cable to the positive (+) terminal.
- Ground Clamp: Connect the ground clamp cable to the negative (-) terminal. Attach the ground clamp securely to the workpiece or welding table, ensuring good electrical contact.
4.4. Optional Foot Pedal Connection
The ACDC-200L is compatible with a 5K potentiometer foot pedal (sold separately) for remote amperage control. Connect the foot pedal to the designated 5-pin connector on the front panel of the welder.

5.1. TIG Welding Functions
- AC/DC HF TIG: High-Frequency TIG welding for precise arc ignition without contact, suitable for a wide range of metals including aluminum (AC) and stainless/mild steel (DC).
- AC/DC Pulsed TIG: Provides superior control for welding thin sheets, minimizing heat distortion and ensuring strong, precise welds by cycling between peak and base currents.
- Cold TIG: A specialized low-heat input function ideal for delicate or cosmetic welds on thin materials like stainless steel and aluminum, reducing distortion and discoloration.
- Spot TIG: Designed for quick, consistent spot welds, useful for tacking or joining thin materials.
5.2. Advanced AC Waveform Control
When welding aluminum, the ACDC-200L offers multiple AC waveform options to optimize arc characteristics:
- Square Wave: Provides strong cleaning action and deeper penetration. Recommended for experienced welders and applications prioritizing penetration.
- Sine Wave: Suitable for traditional aluminum welding, offering a smooth arc. Recommended for beginners and those seeking clean, aesthetic welds.
- Triangle Wave: Ideal for applications requiring minimal heat input and precision welds. Recommended for thin aluminum welding and fine control.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your welding machine.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the machine with a dry cloth. Ensure cooling vents are free from dust and debris. Use compressed air to gently clear internal components if necessary, ensuring the machine is unplugged.
- Cable Inspection: Regularly inspect all welding cables, power cords, and gas hoses for cuts, abrasions, or loose connections. Replace damaged components immediately.
- Torch Maintenance: Check the TIG torch consumables (collets, collet bodies, ceramic nozzles, tungsten electrodes) for wear and replace as needed.
- Ground Clamp: Ensure the ground clamp maintains good contact with the workpiece. Clean any rust or paint from the contact area.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your AZZUNO ACDC-200L welder, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power to machine | Power cord unplugged, circuit breaker tripped, faulty power switch | Check power cord connection, reset circuit breaker, contact support if switch is faulty |
| No arc / Weak arc | Poor ground connection, incorrect welding parameters, worn tungsten, gas flow issues (TIG) | Ensure good ground contact, adjust current/voltage, replace tungsten, check gas supply and flow rate |
| Overheating indicator active | Exceeded duty cycle, blocked ventilation | Allow machine to cool down, ensure clear ventilation paths, reduce welding time |
| Poor weld quality | Incorrect settings, improper technique, contaminated material, insufficient shielding gas | Adjust parameters, refine welding technique, clean workpiece, check gas flow and purity |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact AZZUNO customer support.
