1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the MAXSHOT Electric Scooter. This manual provides essential information for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your scooter. Please read it thoroughly before your first ride to ensure optimal performance and safety.

The MAXSHOT Electric Scooter is designed for adults and teens, featuring an 8.5-inch tire, a top speed of 16 mph, and a long range of 12 miles. It boasts a compact and portable design, dual braking, dual suspension, and smart app control for an enhanced riding experience.

2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Always wear a helmet and appropriate protective gear (knee pads, elbow pads) when riding. Adhere to local traffic laws and regulations. This scooter is UL2272 tested, ensuring professional reliability.

  • Do not ride in heavy rain or through puddles deeper than 0.8 inches.
  • Avoid riding on slippery surfaces, steep slopes, or uneven terrain.
  • Maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and pedestrians.
  • Do not allow children under the age of 16 to ride the scooter without adult supervision.
  • Do not perform stunts or sudden maneuvers.
  • Ensure all screws and quick releases are tightened before each ride.

4. Setup

Your MAXSHOT Electric Scooter comes mostly pre-assembled. Follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Unfolding the Scooter: Engage the upgraded one-step folding mechanism to unfold the scooter until the stem locks securely into place. Ensure it is fully locked before riding.
  2. Handlebar Assembly: If necessary, attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten any securing screws.
  3. Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the scooter's battery. Connect the charger to the charging port and then to a power outlet. The charging indicator will change when fully charged (approx. 3-4 hours). Important: Unplug the charger before attempting to power on the scooter.

5. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the scooter's controls and features for a smooth and safe ride.

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on: Press and hold the power button on the handlebar display.
  • To power off: Press and hold the power button again until the display turns off.

5.2 Riding

  • Acceleration: Gently press the throttle lever to accelerate. The 350W powerful brushless motor provides a smooth and fast riding experience, with a max speed of 16 mph.
  • Braking: The scooter features a dual braking system, including a drum brake and EABS regenerative anti-lock braking. Use the brake levers on the handlebars to slow down or stop.
  • Lighting System: The scooter is equipped with a bright headlight and taillight for enhanced visibility, especially during low-light conditions.

5.3 Display and Controls

The handlebar display provides key information and controls:

  • Speed Display: Shows your current speed.
  • Battery Life: Indicates the remaining battery charge.
  • Headlight Indicator: Shows if the headlight is on or off.
  • Cruise Control: Activate cruise control for consistent speed on long rides.

5.4 Vicont App Control

Enhance your riding experience by connecting your scooter to the Vicont app. The app allows you to:

  • Lock/Unlock the scooter.
  • Set customized max speed.
  • Activate cruise control.
  • Switch between zero start and other gear modes.
  • Monitor battery and time.
  • Access fault detection system.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your scooter.

  • Battery Care: Regularly check the condition of the battery and charging device. Use only the matching battery and correct charging method. Avoid charging in unventilated or flammable environments.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the scooter with a damp cloth. Do not use high-pressure water jets or immerse the scooter in water.
  • Tire Pressure (if applicable): For models with air tires, check and maintain recommended tire pressure regularly. For solid tires, inspect for wear and tear.
  • Brake Inspection: Periodically check the brake levers and cables for proper function and adjustment.
  • General Check: Before each ride, inspect the frame, handlebars, and wheels for any loose parts or damage.
