1. Introduction

The QUBO Smart Door Lock Ultra offers advanced security and convenient access control for your home. This manual provides detailed instructions to help you set up, operate, and maintain your smart lock effectively.

The lock features multiple unlocking methods, including fingerprint, passcode, Bluetooth mobile app, RFID access card, OTP (One-Time Password), and mechanical key, ensuring flexible and secure access.

2. Important Safety Information

  • Read all instructions carefully before installation and use.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the lock yourself. Contact customer support for assistance.
  • Ensure the door meets the specified thickness requirements (3.5 CM and above) and is suitable for wooden doors only.
  • Keep mechanical keys in a safe, accessible location outside the property.
  • Regularly check battery levels and replace batteries as needed to avoid lockouts.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Door Requirements

  • Suitable for door thickness of 3.5 CM and above.
  • Ideal for wooden doors only.
  • Not suitable for double doors.

4.2 Battery Installation

The lock requires 8 AA batteries, with a minimum of 4 batteries for operation. For optimal performance and battery life (up to 12 months), use all 8 batteries.

  1. Remove the battery cover on the interior panel.
  2. Insert 8 AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Replace the battery cover.

The lock will provide low battery alerts via the Qubo Mobile App and a voice prompt when battery levels are critical. In emergency situations where batteries are completely exhausted, a USB charging port is available for temporary power access.

4.3 Physical Installation

Refer to the detailed installation guide provided in the package for step-by-step instructions on mounting the mortise lock, exterior panel, and interior panel. Professional installation is recommended.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Unlocking Methods

The QUBO Smart Door Lock Ultra supports six methods for unlocking:

  • Fingerprint: Register up to 100 unique fingerprints. Place your registered finger on the sensor to unlock.
  • Passcode (PIN): Enter your registered passcode on the keypad. The lock supports a 'Spy Safe Passcode' feature, allowing you to enter random digits before and after your actual PIN to prevent others from guessing it.
  • Bluetooth Mobile App: Use the Qubo Mobile App to unlock the door directly via Bluetooth when in proximity.
  • RFID Access Card: Tap a registered RFID card on the designated area of the lock. Five RFID cards are included.
  • OTP (One-Time Password): Generate temporary OTPs via the mobile app for guests or service personnel. These can be permanent, one-time, or timed access codes.
  • Mechanical Key: In case of electronic failure or emergency, use the provided mechanical keys to unlock the door.

5.2 Auto Locking

The door automatically locks within 6 seconds after being closed, providing an additional layer of security.

5.3 Two-Layer Authentication

For enhanced security, enable two-layer authentication, which requires a combination of two access methods (e.g., fingerprint and passcode) to unlock the door.

6. Mobile App Integration

The Qubo Mobile App provides comprehensive control and monitoring capabilities for your smart lock.

6.1 App Download and Setup

Download the Qubo Mobile App from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your Smart Door Lock Ultra via Bluetooth.

6.2 Remote Unlocking

Unlock your door remotely using the Qubo app. For Wi-Fi based remote unlocking from anywhere, pair your lock with a Qubo Video Doorbell Pro or InstaView (sold separately).

6.3 Managing Access

The app allows you to add or remove fingerprints, passcodes, and access cards for various users. You can also set up timed access for specific individuals, such as house help, allowing entry only during predefined time slots.

6.4 Entry Logs

View detailed entry logs anytime through the app to monitor who entered and at what time.

6.5 Voice Access

The lock supports voice access with Amazon Alexa. To enable this, a Qubo Video Doorbell Pro or InstaView must be purchased separately.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Battery Management

The lock provides low battery alerts through the Qubo Mobile App and a voice prompt. Replace all 8 AA batteries when prompted. In an emergency, if batteries are completely drained, use a USB power bank to temporarily power the lock via the emergency USB charging port.

7.2 Cleaning and Care

Clean the lock's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the finish. Keep the fingerprint sensor and keypad free from dirt and moisture for optimal performance.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Lock not responding: Check battery levels. If batteries are low, replace them or use emergency USB power.
  • Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Re-register your fingerprint if issues persist.
  • Passcode not working: Verify the correct passcode. Remember the 'Spy Safe Passcode' feature requires the correct sequence within the random digits. The lock will sound an alarm after 5 unsuccessful attempts.
  • App connectivity issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and you are within range. For remote Wi-Fi access, confirm your Qubo Video Doorbell Pro or InstaView is properly connected.
  • Lock mechanism stuck: Do not force the handle. Use the mechanical key if necessary and contact customer support.
