5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly set up your portable air conditioner.

5.1 Unit Placement

  • Place the unit on a flat, stable surface.
  • Ensure there is at least 50 cm (approximately 20 inches) of clear space around the unit for proper air circulation.
  • Position the unit near a window for exhaust hose installation.

5.2 Window Kit Installation

The window kit is designed to fit both double/single-hung windows and sliding windows. You may need to trim the window vent to fit your specific window size.

  1. Connect the adapter to one end of the exhaust hose.
  2. Connect the window kit adapter to the other end of the exhaust hose.
  3. Install the hose connector onto the back of the air conditioner unit.
  4. Adjust and install the window panels into your window opening. Extend the panels to fit snugly.
  5. Extend the exhaust hose and insert the window kit adapter into the opening of the installed window panels.
  6. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent air leakage.

6.1 Control Panel and Remote Functions

6.3 Special Functions

  • Sleep Mode: Automatically adjusts temperature and fan speed for a comfortable and quiet sleeping environment. This mode operates at a low noise level (53 dB or less).

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.

7.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned regularly, typically every two weeks, or more often depending on usage and air quality.

  1. Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
  2. Locate and remove the detachable air filter.
  3. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.

7.2 Draining Water

  3. Remove the drain plug and allow the water to flow out.
  4. Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.
