Assembly Instructions
Assembly is designed to be straightforward and tool-free, requiring minimal effort. Follow these steps carefully.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out on a soft, clean surface. Identify each component using the parts list.
- Attach Side Rails to Headboard: Align the side rails with the pre-drilled holes on the headboard. Secure them using the provided bolts and Allen wrench. Do not fully tighten yet.
- Attach Side Rails to Footboard: Connect the other end of the side rails to the footboard, aligning holes and securing with bolts. Hand-tighten all connections.
- Install Center Support Beam: Place the center support beam along the length of the bed frame, connecting it to the headboard and footboard brackets. Attach any support legs to the center beam.
- Insert Wooden Slats: Lay the wooden slats across the bed frame, ensuring they are evenly spaced. The slats feature a Velcro design for secure placement and noise reduction. Press firmly to engage the Velcro.

- Final Tightening: Once all components are in place, go back and fully tighten all bolts and screws. Do not overtighten.
- Adjust Headboard Height: The headboard offers two height settings. Adjust to your preferred height (32.87" or 37") by repositioning the headboard attachment points on the frame.
Operating Instructions
Your GDFStudio Upholstered Platform Bed Frame is designed for comfort and stability. No box spring is needed, as the wooden slats provide ample support for your mattress.
- Adjusting Headboard Height: The headboard can be adjusted to two different heights to accommodate various mattress thicknesses or personal preference. To adjust, loosen the bolts connecting the headboard to the side rails, slide the headboard to the desired height setting (32.87" or 37"), and re-tighten the bolts securely.
- Mattress Placement: Place your mattress directly onto the wooden slats. Ensure it is centered and sits flush within the frame.

Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your bed frame.
- Upholstery Care: For general cleaning, vacuum the linen fabric regularly using an upholstery attachment to remove dust and debris. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, a mild fabric cleaner designed for linen can be used, following the product instructions and testing on an inconspicuous area first.
- Frame Care: Wipe wooden and metal parts with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Hardware Check: Periodically (every 3-6 months) check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary to maintain stability and prevent squeaking.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Bed frame is wobbly or unstable. | Loose hardware. | Check and tighten all bolts and screws. Ensure all support legs are making firm contact with the floor. |
| Squeaking noises. | Loose connections or slats rubbing. | Tighten all hardware. Ensure wooden slats are properly seated and the Velcro is engaged. If squeaking persists, apply a small amount of lubricant (e.g., silicone spray) to contact points between metal and wood. |
| Headboard does not stay at desired height. | Headboard bolts are not sufficiently tightened. | Loosen, adjust to the correct height, and then firmly re-tighten the headboard attachment bolts. |
