3. Product Overview

Familiarize yourself with the components and controls of your VAUNO alarm clock.

3.1 Front View

  • 6.5-inch HD Mirror Display: Shows time and alarm status. Can also be used as a mirror.

3.2 Side and Top Views

  • USB Charger Ports (x2): Located on the left side for charging external devices.
  • Power Cord Port: For connecting the power adapter.
  • Light Sensor: Automatically adjusts display brightness.
  • 'M' Button: Mode/Menu button for setting time and alarms.
  • '+' Button: Increases values or navigates up.

  • Battery Compartment: For the backup battery (included).
  • Wall Mount Hole: Allows for wall mounting.

4. Setup

4.1 Power Connection

  1. Connect the provided power adapter to the Power Cord Port on the left side of the alarm clock.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The display will light up.

4.2 Backup Battery Installation

The alarm clock includes a nonstandard battery for backup. This battery retains time and alarm settings during a power outage, but does not power the display or alarm functions.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the clock.
  2. Insert the included nonstandard battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

4.3 Bed Shaker Placement

The bed shaker provides a powerful vibration to assist with waking. Connect the bed shaker cable to its dedicated port on the alarm clock.

For optimal effectiveness, place the bed shaker in one of the following locations:

  • Under your pillow.
  • Under your fitted sheet.
  • Between your mattress and box spring.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Time Setting

  1. Press and hold the 'M' button to enter time setting mode. The hour digits will flash.
  2. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the hour.
  3. Press 'M' again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting. The minute digits will flash.
  4. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the minute.
  5. Press 'M' again to confirm the minutes and exit time setting mode.

To switch between 12-hour and 24-hour format, briefly press the 'M' button when the time is displayed (not in setting mode).

5.2 Alarm Setting

The clock supports two independent alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2).

  1. Briefly press the 'M' button once to display Alarm 1 setting. The alarm icon and hour digits will flash.
  2. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
  3. Press 'M' again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting. The minute digits will flash.
  4. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the alarm minute.
  5. Press 'M' again to confirm the minutes and move to alarm mode selection.
  6. Use '+' or '-' to select the desired alarm mode: Buzzer only, Vibration only, or Buzzer + Vibration + Flashing Light.
  7. Press 'M' again to save Alarm 1 settings.
  8. Repeat steps 1-7 for Alarm 2 by pressing 'M' twice initially to access Alarm 2 settings.

To turn an alarm ON or OFF, briefly press the '+' button when the alarm time is displayed. The alarm icon will appear or disappear.

5.3 Alarm Modes (Buzzer, Vibration, Flashing Light)

The VAUNO alarm clock offers a combination of sensory alerts:

  • Extra Loud Buzzer: A high-power audio alert.
  • Powerful Bed Shaker: Continuous vibration from the connected shaker unit.
  • Flashing Wake-up Light: The bed shaker unit also emits a flashing light.

These modes can be selected individually or in combination during alarm setup to suit your preference.

5.4 Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the large Snooze button on the top of the clock. The alarm will pause for 5-60 minutes (duration may be adjustable in settings, refer to specific model instructions if available) and then sound again.

5.5 Display Brightness Adjustment

The display brightness can be adjusted manually or automatically.

  • Manual Adjustment: Briefly press the '-' button when the time is displayed to cycle through brightness levels (e.g., Low, Medium, High).
  • Automatic Adjustment (Night Mode): The clock features a light sensor that can automatically dim the display in low light conditions. This feature can be enabled or disabled through settings (refer to specific model instructions for activation).

5.6 USB Charging Ports

The alarm clock is equipped with two USB charging ports on its left side, allowing you to charge up to two devices simultaneously.

  1. Connect your device's USB charging cable to one of the USB ports on the alarm clock.
  2. Ensure the alarm clock is powered on.
  3. Your device will begin charging.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To maintain the appearance and functionality of your alarm clock:

  • Wipe the clock and bed shaker with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these may damage the surfaces.

6.2 Backup Battery Replacement

If the clock fails to retain time or alarm settings after a power interruption, the backup battery may need replacement.

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the clock.
  2. Remove the old nonstandard battery.
  3. Insert a new nonstandard battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Close the battery compartment securely.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your VAUNO alarm clock, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
