Product Dimensions and Parameters

Dimensions and key parameters of EARU 32A Circuit Breaker

Image 2: This image displays the physical dimensions of the EARU 32A Circuit Breaker (94mm height, 71mm width, 45mm depth) and lists key product parameters such as Product Series (EADZ47L-32SVP), Rated Voltage (AC230V), Mechanical Lifespan (20000 cycles), Compliance Standard (IEC61009-1), Rated Residual Operating Current (30mA), Poles (2P+PE/4Pole), Product Certification (CE), and Breaking Capacity (6000A). It also highlights advanced features like overload, short circuit, lightning, leakage, over-undervoltage protection, smart reset, and real-time monitoring.

4. Installation

The EARU 32A Circuit Breaker is designed for DIN-rail mounting. Ensure the installation environment is dry, well-ventilated, and free from corrosive substances.

Installation Steps:

  1. Mounting: Securely attach the circuit breaker to a standard DIN rail in your electrical panel.
  2. Wiring Connections: Refer to Image 1 for the wiring diagram. Connect the incoming Line (L) and Neutral (N) wires to the top terminals and the outgoing load wires to the bottom terminals. Ensure the Protective Earth (PE) is correctly connected.
  3. Terminal Tightening: Use appropriate tools to tighten all fastening screws on the terminals to ensure secure electrical contact and prevent loose connections, which can cause overheating or arcing.
  4. Verification: Double-check all wiring connections for correctness and tightness before restoring power.

5. Operating Instructions

Basic Operation and Leakage Protection Test

Follow these steps for normal operation and to periodically test the leakage protection function of your circuit breaker.

Instructions for powering on and testing leakage protection

Image 4: This image illustrates the basic operating instructions. Step 1: To power on, pull up the operating handle (red switch) and ensure the 'R' button is protruding, indicating a power-on state. Step 2: If the handle jumps down automatically and the 'R' button bounces, it signifies a normal power-off state. Step 3: If the 'R' button is pressed and the handle does not jump down, it indicates a problem. Step 4: After a successful test or reset, the device returns to a powered-on state.

Detailed instructions for leakage protection device inspection

Image 5: Detailed instructions for inspecting the leakage protection device. Step 1: With the operating handle pulled up and the 'R' button not protruding (power-on state), press the 'Test' key to test the leakage protection device. Step 2: If the handle jumps down automatically and the 'R' button bounces, the device is in a power-off state, indicating the leakage protection device is functioning normally. Step 3: If the 'Test' switch is pressed and the handle does not jump down, and the 'R' button does not automatically pop up, the device is in an energized state, indicating a problem with the leakage protection device, and it cannot provide protection. A new leakage device needs to be replaced. Step 4: After a normal inspection (handle automatically jumps down, 'R' button automatically pops up), the device is in a power-off state. Press the 'R' button that just popped up, and then pull up the operating handle to power on the appliance normally.

Parameter Setting (Adjustable Voltage and Current Protector)

The EARU Circuit Breaker allows for adjustment of various protection parameters. The following video demonstrates how to set these parameters.

Video 1: This video demonstrates how to adjust the protection parameters on an EARU Adjustable Voltage and Current Protector. It shows setting the overvoltage (P-1, range 240-300V), undervoltage (P-2, range 140-200V), overcurrent (P-3, range 1A-40A/63A/80A), reset/start delay (P-4, range 1s-300s), and relay recovery delay (P-5, range 1s-300s) settings. The video also shows the overcurrent recovery delay (P-6, range 1s-300s). This process involves pressing the 'SET' button to enter programming mode and using the up/down arrows to adjust values.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable operation of your EARU Circuit Breaker.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your EARU Circuit Breaker, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps. For complex problems, contact a qualified electrician.

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Device does not power onIncorrect wiring; No input power; Device faultCheck wiring connections (L, N, PE); Verify main power supply; If wiring and power are correct, device may be faulty and require replacement.
Frequent tripping (Over-Voltage/Under-Voltage)Unstable power supply; Incorrect voltage settingsCheck incoming line voltage stability; Adjust over/under voltage settings (refer to Parameter Setting video) if necessary, ensuring they are within safe operating limits for your appliances.
Frequent tripping (Overload/Short Circuit)Excessive load; Short circuit in connected appliance/wiringReduce connected load; Inspect appliances and wiring for short circuits; Adjust overcurrent settings (refer to Parameter Setting video) if appropriate for the load, but do not exceed device rating.
Frequent tripping (Earth Leakage/Electric Shock)Ground fault in connected appliance/wiring; Device faultInspect appliances and wiring for ground faults; Perform leakage protection test (refer to Operating Instructions); If test fails and no external fault is found, device may be faulty.
Leakage protection test fails (handle does not jump down)Leakage protection mechanism faultThe leakage protection device is faulty and cannot provide protection. It must be replaced immediately.
