6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the best taste and extends the life of your coffee machine.

Daily Cleaning:

  • Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Remove the filter basket and permanent filter. Discard used coffee grounds.
  • Wash the glass carafe, carafe lid, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. These parts are also dishwasher safe.
  • Wipe the exterior of the coffee machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.

Descaling (Every 2-3 Months or as Needed):

Mineral deposits from water can affect performance and coffee taste. Descale your machine regularly.

  1. Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of white vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water) up to the MAX mark.
  2. Place the empty filter basket (without coffee) and carafe on the heating plate.
  3. Turn on the coffee machine and let it complete half of a brewing cycle.
  4. Turn off the machine and let it soak for at least 15 minutes to allow the descaling solution to work.
  5. Turn the machine back on and let it complete the remaining brewing cycle.
  6. Discard the vinegar solution.
  7. Run 2-3 cycles with clean water only to rinse out any remaining vinegar taste.
