2. Setup

2.1 Installing the Flash

To install the flash onto your camera, slide the V480N into the camera's hot shoe. Rotate the lock ring clockwise until it is securely tightened. Ensure the flash is firmly seated to prevent accidental detachment during use.

2.2 Installing the Battery

3. Operating the Flash

3.1 Power On/Off

To power on the V480N, long-press the power button. To unlock the screen and begin operation, touch the screen or rotate the dial following the on-screen arrow. To power off, long-press the power button again.

3.2 Touchscreen & Buttons

The V480N features a 2.0" color touchscreen and tactile buttons for navigation. Swipe down on the touchscreen to open the function menu, and swipe up to go back. Swipe left to enter mode selection. Double-tap the power button to open or exit the function menu. Rotate the dial to choose an option and press the set button to confirm. The test button can be pressed to fire a test flash.

3.3 M Mode (Manual Mode)

In Manual (M) mode, you can adjust the flash power by tapping the +/- icons or dragging the slider on the touchscreen. Alternatively, rotate the dial to select the desired power level and press the set button to confirm.

The V480N allows you to select between Auto Zoom and Manual Zoom. Tap the zoom setting on the screen to access the options and choose your preferred focal length for the flash coverage.

3.6 Sender Mode

The V480N can act as a sender in a Godox 2.4GHz X wireless system. To pair with other Godox 2.4 GHz wireless flashes, navigate to the wireless settings and initiate wireless sync. Long-press the group box to switch between M (Manual), TTL, or OFF for individual groups. Tap +/- or drag the slider to adjust power for that group. You can also adjust all groups at once by tapping +/- outside any group box.

3.7 Receiver Mode

The V480N can also function as a receiver, syncing wirelessly with an X3 transmitter. Navigate to the wireless settings and select Receiver mode. Tap the group icon to enter group settings, then choose the specific group (A, B, C, D, E) you wish to control.
