Setup
Safety Warnings
- Always turn off power at the circuit breaker before installation.
- If you are unsure about electrical wiring, consult a qualified electrician.
- Ensure all wire connections are secure to prevent electrical hazards.
- Do not exceed the maximum load ratings of the outlet.
Installation
- Turn off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the outlet you wish to replace and turn off the power. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
- Identify Wires: Carefully remove the existing wall plate and outlet. Identify the Live wire (black), Ground wire (green or bare copper), and Neutral wire (white).
- Connect Wires: Link the corresponding wires from the wall to the smart outlet using wire caps. Ensure secure connections for Live, Ground, and Neutral wires.

Secure it with screws. Attach the decorative cover plate.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
App Pairing
- Reset Device: Hold the ON/OFF button on the smart outlet for 7-10 seconds until the indicator light rapidly blinks. This indicates it's in pairing mode.
- Download App: Download the "MOES" or "Smart Life" app from your smartphone's app store.
- Add Device: Open the app, register or log in. Tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon. The app should automatically discover the new device. If not, select "Electrical" then "Socket (Wi-Fi)".
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network credentials. The app will then pair with the device.
- Complete Setup: Once successfully added, you can rename the device and assign it to a room.
Operating Instructions
Manual Control
The smart outlet features physical ON/OFF buttons for the traditional triangular receptacles. Press the respective button to toggle power for each socket.

App Control
The MOES/Smart Life app allows for individual control of all outputs: the two AC sockets, the USB-A port, and the Type-C port. Simply tap the corresponding switch icon in the app to turn each output on or off remotely.


Scheduling and Timer Functions
Utilize the app's scheduling and countdown features to automate your devices. You can set specific times for outlets or USB ports to turn on or off, or create countdown timers for temporary operation.

Voice Control
The MOES Smart USB Wall Outlet is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Once integrated, you can control the outlets and USB ports using simple voice commands.
- Example Command (Alexa): "Alexa, turn on the wall outlet."
- Example Command (Google Assistant): "Hey Google, turn off the bedroom lamp."

Maintenance

Troubleshooting
