4. Setup Instructions
4.1 Installing Hard Drives
- Ensure the enclosure is powered off and disconnected from your computer.
- Gently press the release button on the front of an empty drive bay and pull out the drive tray.
- For 3.5-inch HDDs, align the drive with the tray and secure it using the tool-free clips. For 2.5-inch HDDs/SSDs, secure the drive to the bottom of the tray using screws (if provided). Ensure the drive is firmly seated.
- Carefully slide the loaded drive tray back into the enclosure until it clicks into place.
- Repeat for all desired hard drives.
Important Note: Before loading multiple drives, it is recommended to test each hard drive individually. Load one drive, power on the enclosure, and confirm it is recognized and functioning normally. Then, power off, load the next drive, and repeat the process. This helps identify any problematic drives before full installation.
4.2 Connecting to Your Computer
- Connect the DC 12V20A power adapter to the enclosure's power input and then to a power outlet.
- Connect one end of the provided USB A/C 3.0 cable to the enclosure's USB port and the other end to an available USB 3.0 port on your computer.
- Flip the power switch on the back of the enclosure to the 'ON' position.

The enclosure is plug-and-play, meaning no additional drivers are required for Windows, Mac OS, or Linux operating systems.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Drive Recognition
Once powered on and connected, your operating system should detect the installed hard drives as individual storage devices. You may need to initialize and format new drives through your operating system's disk management utility before they can be used.
5.2 Data Transfer
The enclosure utilizes a USB 3.0 interface, providing data transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps. This allows for rapid file transfers, such as a 1GB movie in approximately 3-5 seconds.

5.3 LED Indicators
Each drive bay features an LED indicator to show its status:
- Blue (Always On): Indicates standby mode or power on.
- Red (Flashing): Indicates active reading or writing operations.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cooling System
The enclosure is constructed with aluminum alloy materials and includes two 2.7-inch cooling fans to help dissipate heat and maximize data security. The fan noise level is approximately 40-50 decibels. Users who are highly sensitive to noise should consider this characteristic.

6.2 Anti-Skid Pads
The enclosure is equipped with silicone anti-skid pads on its base. These pads are wear-resistant and skid-proof, providing stability and protecting the enclosure from damage due to movement.

7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Drive Not Recognized or Only One Drive Appears
If your operating system does not recognize all installed drives, or only a single drive is detected when multiple are installed, follow these steps:
- Power off the enclosure and disconnect it from your computer.
- Remove all hard drives from the enclosure.
- Insert only one hard drive into a bay.
- Power on the enclosure and connect it to your computer. Verify if this single drive is recognized and functioning correctly.
- If the drive is recognized, power off the enclosure, remove the first drive, and insert the next drive. Repeat this process for each drive individually.
- Continue this method until you identify any problematic hard drives that are not recognized or cause issues. A faulty drive can prevent other drives from being detected.
- Once problematic drives are identified, replace them or address their issues before re-installing them into the enclosure.
7.2 Slow Data Transfer Speeds
If you experience slower than expected data transfer speeds:
- Ensure the enclosure is connected to a USB 3.0 port on your computer. Connecting to a USB 2.0 port will result in significantly lower speeds.
- Verify that the USB cable used is rated for USB 3.0 speeds.
- Check the health of your hard drives. Faulty or fragmented drives can impact performance.
- Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and providing stable power.
